Job Overview 

  • Plans, directs and leads the activities of cross-functional teams assigned to a large identity and Access Management projects from end to end, from Initiation, scoping and planning through to delivery and handover to Operations. 

 

Essential Functions 

  • Manages project delivery, managing plans, RAIDs, project metrics, finances and status reporting. 

  • Manages projects delivering the following capabilities: Authentication and MFA, Authorization, Identity Federation, Identity Governance and Privileged Access Management. 

  • Uses different project methodologies to deliver projects from Agile through to Waterfall methods. 

  • Manages project delivery process, validates the project scope, plans and schedules for moderately complex projects under broad supervision; adheres to metrics for project success and suggests appropriate metrics; provides input to and applies standards (e.g. delivery process, roles and responsibilities, operational norms, compliance); drives completion of the project. 

  • Identifies and manages risks to project and program success and escalates to management as necessary. 

  • Manages stakeholder relationships; develops and executes communication plan. 

  • Manages change by identifying impacts of the project, building awareness and support for change within the organization, and contributing to development of training. 

  • Evaluates project results against success metrics; recommends or implements changes to processes, resources and solutions that improve productivity and end product. 

  • Consistently delivers established team reporting and guidance metrics. 

  • Enforces organizational policies and establishes goals for project teams which develop business applications and information services products. 

  • Leads cross-functional teams in the execution of full product development life cycle development. 

  • Under general direction, responsible for all aspects of the development and implementation of assigned projects and serves as a single point of contact for internal and external client. 

  • Takes projects from original concept through final implementation. 

  • Interfaces with all areas affected by the project including clients, Development, QA/Testing, IT, client services and Operations. 

  • Implements defined project scope and objectives. 

  • Initiates, plans, executes, and closes software/product development activity. 

  • Participates in setting and enforces project direction with cross-functional teams. 

  • Plans and manages resource allocations and task assignments within a matrix managed environment. 

  • Lead medium to large sized cross-functional teams. Works with management across the organization to define, plan, develop and implement new information products and services. 

  • Manages, and controls scope, schedule and budget for projects. Communicates project status and risks, with associated recommendations, to all stakeholders including senior management and clients. 

  • Ensures adherence to quality standards 

  • Provides business guidance to project team. 

  • Will have direct client contact on a regular basis. 

 

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor's Degree Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent experience 

  • Other Advanced project management education (PMP or Prince2) and extensive client facing/management experience preferred

  • 5 years Identity and Access Management Project Management
