Purpose:

Internship students will be immersed in various aspects of Food & Beverage and our culture of creating enriching experiences at Loews Hotels & Co. From guest service standards across different restaurant styles to pool-side operations and our extensive meetings and banquets, our F&B team plays a critical role in delivering memorable hospitality every single day.

What Will You Learn?

Experience working with:

  • Restaurant, Banquets & Meetings
  • Barista, Pool/Beach-side service, and specialty outlets
  • Overview of related departments such as culinary

Learning plans include:
 

  • Fundamental practices such as service standards across different F&B outlets and meetings based on current experience level
  • Menu knowledge
  • POS training
  • Opening and closing procedures
  • Setup standards
  • Guest service fundamentals and more
  • Bar/wine knowledge, local flavor partner and more
  • Value-added internship experiences include immersion in Loews culture by experiencing our organizational programs focused on Team Member Engagement, DEI (Diversity, Equity & Inclusion), and Learning & Development.

Mentors will provide:

  • Helpful professional feedback and support during your experience.
  • Exposure to leadership tasks
  • Understanding F&B management reports
  • Students will be responsible for completing their weekly reflections in order to capture their learning and maximize the mentoring experience

What You Bring

  • Students must be currently enrolled in an accredited, US-based college or university, and be in good academic standing, in order to apply for an internship.
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic and eagerness to learn
  • Desire and ability to work with others collaboratively
  • Excellent communication skills – both oral and written
  • Exceptional guest service skills
  • Effective organizational skills with a focus on details, quality, and consistency
  • Ability to work flexible schedule to include some weekends and holidays

The wage for this position is $25.00 to $25.00.
