Blue Cross of Idaho is looking for a Corporate Accountant. This position is responsible for preparing and recording monthly journal entries, reconciling general ledger accounts, and maintaining accounting records used to prepare financial statements. Necessary skills include demonstrating the ability to analyze general ledger activity, account balances, and financial information to identify variances, trends, and discrepancies. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to apply strong problem‑solving skills, logical reasoning, and professional judgment to investigate issues, determine root causes, and resolve discrepancies. The position also requires being able to effectively research and apply GAAP and Statutory guidance to support accurate financial reporting, ensure compliance with MAR controls, and have the ability to make informed decisions This position will need to work independently with limited supervision, and to communicate clearly and concisely.
As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay range is: $66,353 - $92,894. The position is eligible for an annual incentive bonus (variable depending on company and employee performance).
The pay range for this position takes into account a wide range of factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, relevant experience, skills, seniority, performance, travel requirements, internal equity, business or organizational needs, and alignment with market data. At Blue Cross of Idaho, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top range for the position. Compensation decisions are dependent on factors and circumstances at the time of offer.
