Job Summary
As a representative for our Company you will serve as a host/hostess to customers as well as the direct liaison between the outsourced Catering Company and the organization. You will be the frontline for customer service and support kitchen staff by accommodating any special needs of guests. As a part of the team you will inspect dining room serving stations and tables for cleanliness and neatness, restock supplies, set tables, buss tables, take orders, and ensure the dining area is ready for food service. You will be responsible for monitoring on-site catering events to ensure all aspects of food quality; food safety; and food services; are being provided, by the vendor, according to the client’s standards. You will have interaction with international employees, vendors, and high profile clients.

Essential Functions
- Coordinates all outsourced catering service to ensure the highest level of food quality, menu selections and food safety
- Reviews catering menus for accuracy, food allergen awareness and ensures variety of foods is diverse
- Create and display appropriate food signage to ensure all ingredients and allergens are accurately listed; using the provided Microsoft Publisher program
- Inspects dining room service stations for neatness/cleanliness, restocks food and condiment stations while avoiding contamination.
- Ensures food set-up is delivered on time and ready for service
- Monitors food levels to ensure product is available for the duration of food service times
- Responsible for monitoring food time/temperature, according to ServSafe specifications
- Logs all food and equipment temperatures daily and emails log to client every Friday
- Stock/Re-stock utensils, plates, glasses in the service area
- Uses carts to transport utensils, glassware, plates, and food
- Restocks food and condiment stations while avoiding contamination
- Set up and break down equipment relating to the catering event needs
- Monitors caterers to ensure they properly clean and sanitize work areas and equipment used for service

Education and Work Experience
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a high-volume food service operation and or Catering
Work Environment
- The work environment for Catering Coordinator includes the following kitchen environment elements and exposures
- Moderate to high noise level
- Exposure to soap and cleaning solutions
- Slippery/uneven surfaces may be encountered
Requirements
- Must have and maintain an active Food Handlers Card, as required by the local Health Department.
Physical Demands
- Some heavy lifting (may lift 10-50 lbs.) required and occasional assisting with moving of equipment
- Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision
- Repetitive hand motion carrying food containers, using carts both loaded and unloaded
- Standing, walking, bending/twisting, and balance are all required to perform job task
