Job Description Summary

The PEM Service is managing the technical scope of the service project to deliver the best technical solution satisfying our customers and fitting the budget and the planning.

He must therefore ensure a close technical coordination with all stake holders; Engineering departments (COEs), the other functions (Sourcing, Project Management, C&C, Quality, Manufacturing and the customer.
He is responsible of the full technical scope of the contract, being the first point of contact for all technical topics within the project.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

  • Responsible to gather all the required information from the Tender phase through structured hand-over meeting. With growing skills, this part includes direct interaction and contributions in Tender phase.
  • Responsible to identify the customer requirements and to ensure their fulfillment.
  • Responsible to translate the engineering input to the CoE for the project including the client requirements, the interfaces, the planning, the performance, reliability and cost as per his/her as sold scope, and to continuously guide as per project progress.
  • Being the single point of contact for all project Engineering related topics toward all stakeholders
  • Coordinate and control the interfaces among internal, customer, partners as defined in the interface matrix (DOW).
  • Define the alternative and the possible optimization at design stage that can impact the design, the supplies or site activities as per the strategy defined by the Services Project and Supply Chain functions.
  • Deliver specifications, interface data to partners, (system, turbines, generators and civil engineers,).
  • Receive and coordinate all technical input and feedback to the other parties in the process (design, site, and customer) from start of Basic Design until Final acceptance of Product and including the As Built information. Acts as the internal / external interface.
  • Accept or reject the change in case of deviations from customers requirement and manages changes and issue change orders.
  • Accept or reject the change in case of deviations from GE standards requirement and manages changes and issue change orders in full coordination with Controlled Title Holders.
  • Participate in the project review meetings.
  • Responsible of monitoring Engineering KPI within his/her projet(s)
  • Accountable on project results and able to report on a monthly basis Engineering project status (Schedule, R&O, Budget, Gridfusion update)
  • Coordinate support for site activities with CoEs. 
  • Manage Feedback of Experience of projects.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college in Engineering with 3 years of relevant experience
  • Background / Experience in electrical calculation and mechanical design
  • Experience in technical Project Management
  • Experience in Manufacturing (workshop assemblies, casting, winding, Welding, Machining…)
  • Experience in Managing a multitasking activity in multicultural environment
  • Fluent in English
