The role:
As a Category Assistant, you will join our Product tribe where you will have the opportunity to gain experience learning about category management. The Product tribe create, curate and deliver market leading product experiences to our customers.
We’re looking for a proactive and detail-driven Category Assistant to join our P&C Retailer eCommerce Digital Category Team, supporting the day-to-day management and growth of our online product categories. In this role, you’ll work closely with Category Managers to help optimise product ranges, maintain accurate digital content, coordinate promotions, analyse sales performance, and support key trading initiatives across our eCommerce platform. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong organisational skills, a passion for retail and digital commerce, and a desire to build a career in category, buying or eCommerce within a fast-paced, customer-focused retail environment.

Take the lead in managing and optimizing category financials, ensuring alignment with overall business goals while identifying opportunities for enhancement and innovation

Contribute to a culture of agility by supporting the adoption of Agile methodologies. Your fresh ideas will help streamline processes and foster a collaborative environment that thrives on adaptability.
What’s in your toolkit?
A strong numerical and data aptitude that helps you shine in reporting.
A background in ecommerce or marketing preferred.
Excellent interpersonal skills that make you a go-to person for stakeholder management.
Problem-solving prowess and a proactive attitude that sets you apart
Proficiency in MS Excel
Previous experience in a retail, professional, or supplier environment is a plus
Familiarity with SAP? Even better!
A tertiary qualification is desirable
