Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking an Experienced Field Service Representative to provide technical support and on-site company representation at Scott AFB, IL.
You are applying for a Field Operations position where our employees must be willing and able (potentially short-notice) to travel to a variety of locations (domestic and/or international) to meet the needs of our customers.
Field Operations employees may be required to relocate to another Field Operations location based on customer needs and/or management requirements.
Specific contracts supported by Field Operations could require employees to perform a deployment to a US DOD contingency operation. Employees associated with these specific contracts must be able to pass military contractor health standards for deployment.
Position Responsibilities:
Work independently in a demanding, on-call, 24 hour per day / 365 days per year operational environment.
Utilize multi-disciplined technical expertise and company knowledge to assist the customer in troubleshooting aircraft technical issues, determining causes, and recommending corrective actions to customer maintainers.
Stay abreast of issue resolution progress and maintain company and customer situational awareness. Regularly follow-up with the customer to ensure recommendations provided were effective and lasting.
Assist the customer in interpreting and using support data and technical documents.
Provide guidance and consultation related to a broad range of maintenance and operational issues.
Develop and conduct ad hoc and on-the-job training on various maintenance topics.
Coordinate shipment, receipt, and repair of assets with Logistics Representatives.
Research company and customer data to drive resolution of specific chronic issues.
Act as an on-site liaison between the customer and Boeing to facilitate significant technical and operational issue resolution.
Develop AOG action plans when requested by Service Engineering and/or executive leaders.
Travel to other US and foreign operating locations to assist with maintenance demands in supporting the customer's mission.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at Scott AFB, IL.
This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Current FAA certification as an Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Mechanic
Minimum of 10 years’ experience performing aviation maintenance since obtaining your Airframe and Powerplant (A&P)license
Minimum of 5 years' experience in support of 737 or 757 aircraft since obtaining your Airframe and Powerplant (A&P)license
Must be willing to work variable shifts, including weekends and overtime including rotating shifts
Available to be on-site within 2 hours of being called into work after hours
At the sole discretion of leadership, employees must be willing and able (on potentially short-notice) to deploy/travel to a variety of locations (domestic and international) and for a variety of deployment durations to meet customer needs. Failure to deploy/travel will be considered as a resignation.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Previous experience working on PAG (Presidential Air Group) military aircraft such as C-40, C-32 or VC-25
Typical Education/ Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years of related work experience, 10 years of related work experience, etc.).
Relocation:
Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
