Join our Business Performance & Analytics team as a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst at our HQ in Warren, NJ. This is your chance to make a real impact by transforming complex data into meaningful stories that drive strategic decisions.
In this role, you’ll design, develop, and maintain dynamic Power BI reports and dashboards that empower leaders with actionable insights. You’ll partner closely with internal stakeholders, understanding their needs and translating business requirements into effective technical solutions. Accuracy and relevance will be your guiding principles as you deliver data that matters. Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports that effectively visualize reinsurance data and performance metrics.
Create data models and implement DAX calculations to provide meaningful insights and support business objectives.
Perform detailed analysis of reinsurance data, including underwriting, claims, and financial performance, to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
Provide actionable recommendations based on data findings and collaborate with stakeholders to implement data-driven strategies.
Work with internal users to understand their reporting and data analysis needs, gathering requirements and translating them into technical solutions.
Integrate data from multiple sources into Power BI, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and reliability.
Develop and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes to support ongoing reporting and analysis needs.
Provide support for Power BI reports and dashboards, troubleshooting issues and making necessary updates or enhancements.
Create and maintain documentation for Power BI reports, data models, and analysis methodologies.
Qualifications, Education & Experience:
3+ years of corporate work experience and/or experience in Information Technology (IT) industry
BS in Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Management, Statistics or related field
Work experience in the insurance/reinsurance industry is a plus
Knowledge, Skills & Competencies:
Proven experience as a Power BI Developer and Data Analyst, with a strong background in the reinsurance industry or related financial services.
Advanced proficiency in Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, and data modeling.
Solid experience with SQL and data manipulation tools.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and generate actionable insights.
Expertise in data analysis, statistical methods, and data visualization techniques.
Ability to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for business improvement based on data analysis.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex data insights clearly and effectively.
Strong interpersonal skills for collaborating with stakeholders and gathering requirements.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail in data analysis, report development, and documentation.
The base salary range for this position is $85,000 - $125,000 annually. The offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, experience, qualifications and work location. All offers include access to a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, 401k match, retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
