As a member of the Salesforce, Integration Cloud (MuleSoft) Team, you will use Agile methodologies to plan, coordinate, and lead software projects that result in delightful experiences for customers.


You are a deep thinker with a natural curiosity to learn our customers’ business and a dedicated advocate for great customer experience and world-class quality at scale in a complex modern microservices environment.  You will also have a strong analytical mindset and will drive actions at the right level to ensure that we can maximize engineering productivity while delivering a stable, secure, and performant experience to our customers.  Finally, you will be responsible for clear and courageous communication at all levels about the delivery risk and quality outlook of our products. 

Responsibilities:

  • Leverage your AI/ML skills for enabling Agentic workflows and Agentic vision. 

  • Be part of one or more development Scrum teams and own multiple features in their product area, including complex or highly ambiguous features with highest quality and performance. 

  • Develop a broader understanding of platform and applications and an in-depth understanding of product areas that their Scrum teams.

  • Become a “go-to” person on the scrum team for Functional and Performance understanding. Interface with customers to understand real-life usage and cross-functional aspects to develop and automate test plans for Critical User Journeys and End-to-End Scenarios, improve the customer performance reduce customer bugs and incidents and improve customer experience

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams across geographies and support Scrum teams to ensure thorough testing of Functionality and End-to-End scenarios and performance. 

  • Work closely with senior developers, PM, and UX to ensure features are delivered to meet business and quality requirements.

  • Troubleshoot production issues and develop test strategies to avoid these incidents.

  • Do the right thing, always, for our customers. 

  • Monitor product and feature-level quality health metrics (testability, test health, test coverage, etc.)

  • Be responsive to bugs and prioritize customer investigations.

Required Skills:

  • A related technical degree required.

  • 10+ years of experience in Development, performance and quality of very complex products with many micro services and dependencies. 

  • 2+ years of Experience of AI/ML Technologies - A2A and MCP protocols.

  • 5+ years of experience in quality/performance engineering, systems optimization, or backend/frontend diagnostics with a lot of microservices.

  • 5+ years of experience with microservices, and distributed systems in cloud environments Cloud & infrastructure skills (Kubernetes, Docker, AWS/GCP/Azure)

  • Proficiency in performance fundamentals:

  • Frontend: Browser rendering, JavaScript optimization, and network analysis.

  • Backend: SQL performance analysis, query tuning, indexing, and caching strategies.

  • Hands-on experience with tools such as JMeter, Gatling, Chrome DevTools, YourKit, and Java Flight Recorder.

  • Scripting expertise in Python, Bash, or Node.js, with the ability to create automation tools and pipelines.

  • Familiarity with AI-driven tools or agents for performance monitoring, log analysis, or auto-diagnosis.

  • Ability to interpret performance data, pinpoint root causes, and clearly communicate findings.

  • Knowledge of data concepts related to relational databases and NoSQL stores.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Operating Systems architecture knowledge including security and programming interfaces.

  • Experience high throughput, low latency, and plant scale software design and architecture.

  • Proven track record in performance design while engineering for scale in an enterprise environment

  • Experience with monitoring solutions, such as - Prometheus, Grafana, or Splunk

  • Experience with public cloud development (e.g. AWS, GCP, Alibaba, and/or Azure platforms)

  • Knowledge of data platform services, such as MSSQL and MySQL

  • Experience with AI Tools to improve Development, Quality and Performance. 

  • Experience programming languages (Java, Python, Go/Scala)

  • Database expertise (PostgreSQL, Redis, NoSQL)

  • Microservices architecture requirements

  • Security & compliance (STIG, CVE management)

  • Experience with DevOps, quality,  and performance AI testing tools

  • Experience with Jmeter, Jest, Cypress, Playwright, React Testing Library

  • Experience with React, Angular, Vue.js, Svelte

  • SOAP/XML web services

  • LDAP/Active Directory integration

The typical base salary range for this position is $167,300 - $253,000 annually. In select cities within the San Francisco and New York City metropolitan area, the base salary range for this role is $200,800 - $276,100 annually. The range represents base salary only, and does not include company bonus, incentive for sales roles, equity or benefits, as applicable.
