Job Description​

Seeking a Procedural Scheduler with a sharp eye for detail, amazing communication skills and a passion for ensuring every patient receives seamless, timely care for our Women’s Health East team!  This person will serve as the key connector between patients and providers and needs to be  calm under pressure, adaptable, and energized by problem-solving! This is a dynamic role for someone who enjoys coordinating complex schedules, managing critical timelines, and making a direct impact on patient outcomes.

How you support our amazing team and patients:

• Evaluate patients for surgery case to determine the appropriate OR, surgery time and post-op timeframe
• Verify patient’s insurance that the facility is in network
• Contact insurance companies to obtain prior authorization if required
• Interact with patients, providers, and staff to coordinate  post-op appointment 
• Schedule surgery dates in EMR and appropriate surgical calendars
• Maintains block times for all physicians including the robotic schedule.
• Reviews financial responsibility with patients prior to surgery
• Communicates in an effective and professional manner with physicians, care team, ancillary departments,  insurance companies, as well as patients
