Aptiv’s Cybersecurity team breaks the mold of traditional internal security and focuses on active threats to Aptiv’ s products. As a Assessments Expert, you will be responsible for the ensuring compliance of the programs based on ISO 21434 standards, You will be actively participating in the assessments to ensure the compliance. This position requires a high level of interpersonal and communication skills with all levels of management.
Responsibilities:
Lead and execute cybersecurity assessments to ensure product and program compliance with ISO/SAE 21434, Red 3.3 and UNECE R155, working closely with engineering, program, and customer stakeholders.
Lead assessment engagements: planning, risk assessment, assessment review, conclusions, and reporting.
Conduct assessments on programs against ISO 21434, Red 3.3 and UNECE R155; summarize findings and develop assessment comments, including improvement actions.
Ensure compliance with standards, regulations, and Aptiv cybersecurity processes; lead or participate in audits, assessments, and process improvement.
Identify cybersecurity issues and gaps; track corrective actions; prioritize and escalate programs with cybersecurity risks.
Maintain effective communications and professionalism with client management; demonstrate strong time management and planning skills.
Handle special assignments across diverse assessments and audit projects; stay current on emerging standards, regulations, and policies impacting vehicle cybersecurity.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
5+ years’ experience in project management and prior assessments experience (Enterprise/TPRM, etc.).
Knowledge of ISO 21434 (and ISO 27001) and ability to conduct assessments based on ISO 21434 across programs.
Understanding how standard requirements map to processes and how processes interrelate (big‑picture perspective).
Willingness to work across time zones to conduct assessments.
Automotive industry experience.
High level of oral and written communication skills; excellent organization, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to present complex issues with precision and clarity to audiences at all organizational levels.
Preferred qualifications:
Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
8+ years’ experience in project management; PMP, Agile, and/or ASPICE certifications.
Experience supporting and managing vulnerability and incident management activities.
Knowledge of ISO 21434, Red 3.3 and UN ECE R155; familiarity with common risk assessment methodologies.
Familiarity with cybersecurity mitigations (encryption, certificate management, TLS, wireless protection, firewalls, secure boot, etc.).
Experience configuring and fluency with POSIX‑based operating systems (Linux, QNX, etc.).
