You’ll make an impact through the following job functions:

  • To lead carrier and fulfillment node launch for the transportation team with cross functional teams
  • To manage transit and sort center data setup and integrity to achieve zero defects goal
  • To lead highly complex projects to achieve Transportation initiatives and to improve Deliver It metrics
  • To manage carrier transit data update and develop a process to sustain quick changes in the database   


Roles and responsibilities:

  • Supports and executes Transportation data configuration to onboard new fulfillment node and to launch new carrier/lane for Walmart U.S. eCommerce 
  • Supports and manages data validation and correction to maintain Transportation data integrity
  • Supports and executes data update in a regular basis to maintain Transportation data quality
  • Supports various new transportation initiatives to achieve company Deliver It goals for the team.
  • Identifies areas of inefficiency and opportunity and works with System Product team to enhance transportation tools/system
  • Monitors execution progress and ensures deliverable quality (e.g., tracking progress, following up on actionable items) for portions of medium-to-moderately complex projects
  • Troubleshoot data issues and work with internal business partners to derive and build customized reports to investigate opportunities
  • Coaches less experienced team members and provides feedback to enhance skills, knowledge and work performance
  • Configure and maintain data independently.
  • Customize validation rules, workflows, and security settings.
  • Automate business processes and oversee new releases deployment.
  • Provide user support, manage data, and troubleshoot data issues.
  • Develop comprehensive documentation and establish system development policies.
  • Leadership and Support:
  • Collaborate on governance plans and refine information architecture.
  • Drive user adoption through training and mentorship.
  • Technical Leadership:
  • Lead system upgrades and ensure seamless integration with emerging technologies.
  • Research and recommend products to enhance system capabilities.
  • Quality Assurance:
  • Lead testing requirements gathering and develop robust test plans.
  • Analyze system requirements and monitor testing outcomes.
  • Maintain automated test scripts and assist in troubleshooting efforts.

Required skills:

  • MS-Excel (medium to advance), MS-Access, SQL and database mining knowledge
  • 4+ years of data management experience, including query development, root-cause analysis, and dashboard optimization
  • Project management and communication skills (experience managing multiple projects at once while ensuring deadlines are met and data output is accurate)
  • Ability to build scalable processes and drive automation of daily tasks
