Job Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities

  • Establish enterprise data management strategies and drive the execution of these strategies with stakeholders.

  • Develop data operations capability and assist implementation.

  • Drive short-term and long-term strategy for Data Management platform.

  • Manage technical execution of development tasks related to all parts of data management such as data governance, master data management, data quality, data catalog and that the design is consistent with the enterprise architecture strategy.

  • Have hands on knowledge on all aspects of data management which includes master data, data governance and transactional data.

  • Embrace key technology trends and help the development teams leverage those technologies to deliver data management.

  • Demonstrates leadership qualities and experience. Can work with business stakeholders from a variety of departments, gather data & quality requirement, solicit feedback, share progress.

  • Work with the functional groups responsible for managing data to ensure consistency, uniformity and accuracy across Nissan, prevent duplication of effort.

  • Evaluate issues in the governance of enterprise data, including problem definition, root cause analysis, and opportunity and solution recommendations.

  • Responsible for implementing data strategy, chairing operating committees, overseeing data policies and procedures

Job Knowledge and Skills:

Minimum Qualifications

  • Solid understanding of data management principles such as data governance, master data management, data operations & data quality (DMBOK principles).

  • Demonstrated experience in delivering data operations, data quality and catalog with high degree of complexity.

  • Solid experience in delivering enterprise data management strategies including data quality, data catalog, data policies, data operations.

  • Strong knowledge of modern technologies and ability to leverage them in data space.

  • Demonstrated sense of logic, creativity, decision making & problem resolution.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Ability to multi-task and provide high quality solution under pressure, operate with minimal information and lack of clarity.

  • Drive data quality needs proactively for the business and being a thought leader

Must Have Requirements

  • Technical knowledge of data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques.

  • Familiarity with data factory – from data acquisition to data consumption.

  • Strong knowledge of data management & governance principles.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Knowledgeable in queries (SQL or Python), visualization and presenting findings.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

  • Self-starter with excellent interpersonal skills, accountability, and project management skills.

  • Ability to work under pressure in a demanding, fast-paced environment and to work under tight time constraints and meet deadlines.

  • Ability to manage a team.

Preferred Requirements

  • Master’s Degree Preferred

  • CDMP (from DAMA) or equivalent

  • Project management skills

  • Experience in SAP S/4 HANA, MDG, MDM preferred

Years of Experience:

Experience working in an agile team.

Education

Bachelor's in computer science, Information Management or Data Science.
