We are looking for a Sales Development Representative to join our Corporates Team within the Asia & Emerging Markets (AEM) unit. The SDR team, essential in Thomson Reuters’ sales efforts, is responsible to generate qualified leads for our regional sales teams via prospecting activities and account research. You will also participate in the early/ mid stages of sales opportunities. In this role, you’ll be responsible for the SEA market.

About the Role  

In this opportunity as a Sales Development Representative, you will be responsible for:

  • Lead Generation and Research: Use various tools to identify high-propensity accounts and generate relevant leads.
  • Prospecting and Outreach: Initiate contact (through outbound calls, emails) and introduce them to our products.
  • Qualification and Evaluation: Assess the suitability of prospects by asking probing questions to qualify them based on BANT criteria and understand their needs, challenges, and potential fit with our solutions.
  • Product Knowledge: Develop a deep understanding of our offerings and effectively communicate their features, benefits, and value propositions to prospects.
  • Appointment Setting: Schedule sales appointments and demonstrations, considering availability and capacity.
  • Lead Nurturing and Account Support: Engage and nurture leads and assist in managing client relationships to accelerate the sales cycle.
  • Collaboration with Sales Team: Collaborate closely with the sales team, providing detailed lead information for accurate prep and successful client engagement.
  • Data Management and Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all prospect interactions and activities within our CRM system
  • Own the Targets: Keep a close track on targets with a goal to meet or exceed your targets and KPIs and maintain consistently strong performance.

About You 

You’re a fit for the role of Sales Development Representative if your background includes:

  • Proficiency in English
  • Minimum 2 years within SDR or B2B inside sales
  • Proven track record of exceeding against quota and/or other performance metrics and working cross-functionally to achieve sales objectives and targets.
  • Demonstrable “hunter” sales mentality - using sales enablement tools
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, sales automation, and CRM (Salesforce)
  • Tenacity: You are determined to succeed, and you are motivated by the success of customers, team members and the wider organization.
  • Curiosity: You are always learning and seeking ways to make things better.
  • Experience in outbound prospecting and sales into corporates in the SEA market is advantageous.
