Your role and responsibilities

We are seeking a highly skilled Power BI Developer to join our Travel and Expense Data Analytics and Business Intelligence team in Bangalore. This role is central to delivering enterprise-grade, scalable, and performance-optimized analytics solutions that drive strategic and operational decisions across the business. The ideal candidate will lead the end-to-end development of Power BI apps, dashboards and reports, with a strong focus on delivering superior value and stakeholder engagement. This is an individual contributor role with scope to coach peers, contribute to business intelligence innovation, and ensure best-in-class data practices.

• End-to-End Dashboard Development: a) Collaborate cross-functionally to understand reporting needs and translate them into actionable user stories and technical requirements. b) Design, develop, and deploy Power BI dashboards, reports, and apps with a focus on usability, performance, and business value. c) Create effective and visually compelling UI/UX, navigation structures, and interactivity (filters, slicers, drill-throughs). Apply data storytelling techniques to effectively deliver insights to business stakeholders. d) Conduct thorough testing (functionality, performance, data accuracy) and manage UAT cycles with business requestors. e) Deploy dashboards and apps to production environment with appropriate security, refresh schedules. Lead training sessions for stakeholders to maximize adoption and ensure alignment.
• Maintenance & Continuous Improvement: a) Monitor dashboards for data refresh issues, data quality, and user adoption. Implement mechanisms for data completeness, quality assurance, and alerting on failure points. b) Create and maintain clear documentation for data models, metrics, data sources, and any other transformations performed. c) Follow and help evolve team standards for versioning, naming conventions, and documentation practices. d) Automate business intelligence processes and workflows, e.g., using Power Automate.
• Data Modeling & Query Optimization: a) Integrate and manage connections to enterprise-grade data sources, especially Snowflake. Write and optimize queries for data extraction and transformation. b) Create performance optimized Snowflake views to be used as data sources for dashboards.
• Support & Ad Hoc Work: Support limited ticket-based work for creating basic reports using existing tools (training provided).
• Mentorship & Collaboration: Share best practices and coach less experienced developers on Power BI, automation, and solution design.

• 4+ years of hands-on experience with Power BI solutions in Enterprise environment. Advanced DAX, Power Query (M) and data modeling skills required. Highly adept in querying, optimization, and scripting for data preparation and automation.
• Full time graduate with similar experience.Excellent communication and collaboration skills; able to translate technical work into business value.
• Independent, proactive, and adaptable to changing priorities.
• Ability to demonstrate your experience in Power BI Service governance (workspaces management, security, refresh scheduling)
• Experience with version control integration with PowerBI (e.g., GIT/AzureDevOps) and/or deployment pipelines is an advantage
• Experience in Procurement Analytics or Travel and Expense Data Analytics is a plus.
• Knowledge of Power Platform (especially Power Automate) is a plus.
• Optional: You hold Power BI certification
