MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Payroll Processing & Operations
Support the processing of accurate monthly payroll using ADP Celergo platform. Ensuring accurate payment of wages, salaries, overtime, shift allowances, bonuses, and commission payments etc with efficiency and precision.
Ensure statutory payments and coordinate absence management in collaboration with the HR Business Partner.
Manage employee benefit deductions, pension contributions etc.
Process employee lifecycle changes including new starters, leavers, promotions, and salary adjustments.
Handle payroll corrections, backdated payments, and complex one-off adjustments as required.
Specialised Expertise Area
Lead designated specialist area based on business requirements and individual strengths.
Support critical business projects including systems implementation and maintenance.
Support the processing of the bi-weekly payroll.
Provide subject matter expertise for assigned payroll populations and processes.
Develop deep knowledge in specific payroll domains while maintaining broad operational capability.
Compliance & Governance
Ensure full compliance with Switzerland employment law & regulations, and company policies.
Prepare annual compliance documentation and regulatory reporting.
Support internal and external audits with comprehensive payroll documentation, along with timely and professional responses.
Monitor and maintain data integrity across payroll system and Workday, Skechers HRIS system.
Employee Services & Support
Provide expert resolution for complex employee payroll queries.
Communicate to a diverse population regarding pay-related matters and policy changes, such as payslips, deductions, tax calculations, and benefits to employees.
Support employee financial wellbeing initiatives and benefits enrolment.
Develop secondary expertise in other specialist areas through structured cross-training. Provide backup coverage for colleagues during absences and peak processing periods.
Participate in collaborative problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives.
Share knowledge and mentor team members in areas of expertise. Ensure comprehensive documentation of payroll procedures and internal controls.
Analytics & Reporting
Support the development and maintenance of key performance indicators (KPIs) for payroll operations.
Create management reports and dashboards for senior leadership review.
Analyse payroll data trends to identify improvement opportunities and cost optimisation.
Support business intelligence initiatives through detailed payroll analytics.
Provide insights on workforce costs and payroll metrics.

PERSON SPECIFICATION
Experience in running a payroll is essential
Strong understanding of Swiss employment law & regulations, and compliance requirements and tight deadline management
Good knowledge of MS Office, and experienced in Excel formulas, functions and pivot tables as well as being numerate with an eye for detail
Organised, efficient and accurate with good communication skills and the ability to maintain discretion and professionalism
An excellent communicator who thrives in a team environment and also has the ability to work on own initiative
Strong analytical and reporting capabilities with advanced data analysis skills
Ability to develop strong interpersonal relationships among all cross-functional groups
Self-starter with high level of initiative and a strong sense of ownership and urgency
Flexibility to frequent changes and ability to react quickly
Experience of Workday is desirable
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, you will occasionally be required to remain in a stationary position whilst working on a VDU, reaching with hands and arms.
This position may require a high level of concentration for sustained periods with the expectation to meet deadlines. You will frequently communicate with internal customers over the telephone and must be able to accurately exchange information in these situations.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The position is in Skechers Swiss Head Office within a standard office environment, with adequate lighting, noise levels and temperature etc.
