Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Greet guests warmly and ensure a friendly atmosphere.
  • Assist guests with game rentals and concession purchases.
  • Handle payments for experiences and ensure guests sign waivers.
  • Maintain and stock concession inventory.
  • Participate in gaming to better understand guest needs and improve service.
  • Set up and break down event spaces; assist with party room operations.
  • Clean and sanitize gaming equipment after use.
  • Perform routine cleaning tasks, including vacuuming, mopping, and bathroom maintenance.
  • Ensure guest and equipment safety while enforcing any relevant regulations.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years old with prior experience in customer service (entertainment or retail preferred).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to engage with both children and adults.
  • Ability to provide exceptional guest service with a positive attitude.
  • Passionate about gaming with a good grasp of technology.
  • Open to receiving feedback from management to enhance the customer experience.

Education and/or Experience     

  • A college degree is preferred.
  • Previous experience working with gaming, computer, and audio-visual equipment is highly desirable.

Skills and Abilities    

  

  • Excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Technologically proficient (PCs, gaming consoles, audio-visual systems).
  • Motivated, dependable, and willing to go above and beyond.
  • Energetic and committed to ensuring guest satisfaction.

Computer Skills   

  • Proficiency with general computer systems, including Excel, Word, and gaming consoles.

Hours of Work and Travel Requirements

This is a part time position (10-29 hours/week) mainly evenings and weekends. The current hours of the Bendix Arena Gaming Center are noted below. Shifts would start 30 minutes before and likely end 30 minutes after times noted below.

  • Wednesday 5-10 p.m.
  • Thursday 5-10 p.m.
  • Friday 2– 11 p.m.
  • Saturday 2–11 p.m.
  • Sunday 2-8 p.m.

Additional special events may require varying hours.

  • Ability to stand, walk, and move around the gaming center for extended periods.
  • Occasionally lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
  • Regular use of computers and gaming equipment.
  • Frequent climbing of ladders and handling of products.
  • Must be able to operate various office and gaming-related equipment.
