Job Summary

Working with the Manager of Clinical Analytics, the EMR Quality Optimization Team EMR/Analytics vendors, defines, tests, implements, maintains, and monitors associated interfaces. This work also involves interacting with physician practices and PHO practice liaisons to assure workflow compliance and data flow to interfaces. Given the changing nature of the workflows, quality measure requirements, systems and interface needs, continuous monitoring and quality assurance testing is required. Regular application of reporting tools such as SQL, Metabase, Microsoft Access and Excel will be utilized. These will be used for quality assurance and end-user reporting. Independent research, analysis, and troubleshooting are also job requirements. Knowledge of physician quality workflow and quality measurement will be regularly applied to daily activities as well as initiative in staying up to date on these topics. May require mentoring other team members.

Essential Functions

  • Aware of the implications of applying new/differing technology to the physician organization environment, utilizes research and analysis, along with an understanding of assigned EMR, analytic systems and quality measure requirements, to define, implement, troubleshoot and support related workflow and interfaces.
  • Effectively communicates solution requirements to team members, liaisons and practices.
  • Works independently and with others to troubleshoot issues with existing systems.
  • Remains current with business or clinical requirements and needs, based upon future industry trends and changes, and understands the implications for existing technology.
  • Provides mentorship to less senior team members and is accountable as a role model for customer service excellence.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
  • 5 years of relevant experience in the field

Preferred

  • Masters degree
  • 7 years of relevant experience including experience formulating and defining systems scopes and objectives
  • Experience in systems development lifecycle including, requirements gathering and design
  • Participant in multiple phases of an integrated system implementation
  • Background in health care, sciences or information systems
