Responsibilities:

• Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, especially AI/Data Science experts, to gather requirements from AI projects and ensure the cloud platform is designed and delivered to meet those needs.
• Ownership & Proactivity: High sense of responsibility with the motivation to develop independent solution proposals (including reusable components) and provide clear recommendations. You take initiative and drive your topics forward proactively.
• Operational Transition & Support: Ensure a smooth transition from project implementation to stable operational running of the platform. This includes comprehensive documentation, knowledge transfer, and demonstrating technical leadership during incident handling and troubleshooting to maintain a stable platform.
• AI Solution Design & Implementation: Design, develop, and implement AI solutions using machine learning, deep learning, and related technologies, ensuring alignment with business and platform requirements.
• Cloud Infrastructure Management: Manage and automate cloud infrastructure in Azure, GCP, and hybrid environments, leveraging Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Bicep, and Ansible, and ensuring secure, scalable, and cost-efficient deployments.
• CI/CD & Operational Excellence: Build, maintain, and monitor CI/CD pipelines and deployments using GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps, ensuring smooth updates, system availability, and operational stability. Provide incident response leadership and proactive troubleshooting.
• Integration & Identity Management: Oversee secure integration of third-party AI providers and services, and manage identity and access via Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), ensuring compliance with security and governance standards.
• Documentation & Knowledge Sharing: Maintain detailed technical documentation, reusable solution components, and provide knowledge transfer to support operational teams and facilitate platform adoption.
• Cost Optimization & Efficiency: Drive efforts to optimize cloud resource usage, including LLM inference workloads, ensuring cost efficiency without compromising performance or scalability.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in a similar cloud/infrastructure engineering role.
• Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, and hybrid architectures.
• Proficiency in Python; experience with Go or Bash is a plus.
• Solid understanding of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, Ansible).
• Experience with containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with AI frameworks and tools (OpenAI, Gemini, LLaMA, Mistral, Ollama).
• Knowledge of cloud security, IAM, network segmentation, and private cloud connectivity.
• Experience with CI/CD tools, GitHub, and DevOps practices.
• Strong understanding of cloud cost optimization and FinOps principles.
• Fluent English is required; German skills are an advantage but not mandatory.
• Willingness to travel occasionally (e.g., to Germany) if needed.
• Self-motivated and proactive work ethic.
• Strong team player with the ability to collaborate in an international team environment.
