Are you ready to put your years of experience to work at Northrop Grumman? If so, our Defense Systems Sector is seeking a Program Manager to join our growing team in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

 

You will become part of Northrop Grumman’s Lifecycle Sustainment and Modernization Solutions (LSMS). LSMS provides sustainment support for the US Air Force B-2 Bombers and E-3 Sentry, Airborne Warning and Control System, and numerous other Government platforms. Our team members complete engineering, reverse engineering, and logistics solution efforts to solve complex obsolescence problems and ensure warfighter supportability.

      

You will lead efforts on large projects within an Integrated Product Team (IPT), to include technical planning, requirements development and tracking, system integration, Systems Integrations Lab (SIL), ground and flight testing, verification and validation, airworthiness, system safety, risk, reliability / maintainability, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include concept, requirements, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance, and disposal. This person will lead project teams and be responsible for cost, schedule and performance.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Directs all phases of programs from inception (proposal development) through completion (contract closeout)

  • Responsible for proposal development / capture planning and strategy

  • Develops customer relationships and customer intimacy        

  • Responsible for the cost, schedule and technical performance of company programs        

  • Develops and adheres to Integrated Master Schedules (IMS)        

  • Develops and adheres to budget baselines utilizing Earned Value Management (EVM) methodologies        

  • Integrates requirements vertically and horizontally across the project to ensure successful execution        

  • Briefs Northrop Grumman management and Air Force customers on project status

  • Identifies and mitigates risks        

  • Works with multiple teams and cross-functional departments

  • Participates in the negotiation of contract and contract changes

  • Coordinates the preparation of proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of contract

 

Basic Qualifications:

 

  • Must have at least one of the following: A bachelor’s in science or engineering with a minimum of 10 years’ experience supporting U.S. Government contracts and customers and/or project management in other industries or a master’s in science or engineering with a minimum of 8 years’ experience supporting U.S. Government contracts and customers and/or project management in other industries or a PhD in Science or Engineering with a minimum of 6 years’ experience supporting U.S. Government contracts and customers and/or project management in other industries

  • A minimum of 6 years or more experience managing technical programs

  • Understanding of the Integrated Management Framework (IMF) process and concepts        

  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance

  • Ability to work on-site in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, no relocation offered

  • Strong customer engagement skills

 

 Preferred Qualifications:

  • Current Secret clearance with the ability to obtain special access

  • Experience managing/developing small to large proposals across

  • Development, Production, and Sustainment type programs along with building and delivering program briefings for executive leadership

  • Experience related to contracts management and cost analysis is highly desirable as well

  • Experience in large program capture and execution strategy development and leadership

  • Significant experience in USAF aircraft modification and sustainment execution

  • Experience presenting project performance to upper management and customers

  • Risk Management experience

Salary Range: $124,200.00 - $186,400.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
