What You’ll Get to Do

As the Information Security Engineer, you’ll support software and systems engineering and interoperability engineering technical services to support the Government customer in their PDSS and PPSS mission for worldwide customers, including Program Executive Officers (PEOs) and their Project Managers (PMs) and Project Directors (PDs), Headquarters Department of the Anny (HQDA) and its components, and other Department of Defense (DoD) elements. The customer supports several Programs of Record (PORs) with all aspects of software sustainment services and in the future will support additional new programs.

More About the Role

  • Collects and maintains data needed to meet system cybersecurity reporting. 
  • Communicates the value of information technology (IT) security throughout all levels of the organization stakeholders. 
  • Collaborates with stakeholders to establish the enterprise continuity of operations program, strategy, and mission assurance. 
  • Ensures that security improvement actions are evaluated, validated, and implemented as required. 
  • Ensures that cybersecurity inspections, tests, and reviews are coordinated for the network environment. 
  • Ensures that cybersecurity requirements are integrated into the continuity planning for that system and/or organization(s).  
  • DoD Cyber Workforce Framework (DCWF) and the NIST Special Publication 800-181 spells out the Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA's) in detail to be combined with the DoD 8140 Directive of compliance to on-the-job certification requirements. 

You’ll Bring These Qualifications

  • TS/SCI Clearance
  • Bachelor’s Degree, Computer Science, or other Engineering or Technical discipline with an Information Security or Cyber Security Concentration.
  • 5 years within the last 8 years.
  • 1-3 years active eMASS experience
  • Experience can substitute for the degree provided the person has BOTH the relevant experience AND is fully Information Assurance (IA) certified in accordance with AR 25-2, Information Assurance, and the associated best business practice for IA Training and certification (IA Training BBP).
  • Certifications: GISF or CND or SSCP or CSC or GCLD or CASP+ or CCSP or Cloud+ or GSEC or FITSP-D or GCSA or CISSP-ISSEP

Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:

$75,200 - 158,100 USD
