Summary: Responsible for continuous deployment and maintenance of applications and infrastructure using automation technologies. Maintains or increases customer uptime while reducing opportunities for human error. Improves developer productivity and delivery speed by through operational efficiencies that enable developers to be more self-sufficient.

Responsibilities:

  • Understand new and existing app code flows and how they interact with different components.
  • Participate in multi-disciplinary teams working in a fast-paced agile environment.
  • Build and maintain automated CI/CD deployment processes that execute across multiple systems and environments using Azure DevOps.
  • Assist management and monitoring of infrastructure and processes to track application performance.
  • Investigate customer problems referred to DevOps by the technical support team.
  • Promote approved System Development Life Cycle methodology, change controls, standards, and associated cross-functional tools to ensure adoption and continuous improvement.
  • Engage development teams to ensure applications include administration features and are designed to enable logging, monitoring, testing, and configuration at deployment time (without code changes).
  • Identify and communicate interdependencies and productivity barriers.
  • Provide on call support outside of normal work hours/days as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in software engineering or related field, equivalent education, or work experience.
  • 2+ years hands-on software development or IT operations experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and Azure DevOps.
  • Effective working independently and in an Agile scrum environment.
  • Good knowledge of software development and test methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Experience using PowerShell and Azure DevOps to administer and deploy Azure resources.
