What will you do? 

As a Senior Digital Project Manager, you will manage the day-to-day activities of projects, including overseeing project responsibilities and schedules for Caterpillar dealer digital deployments and be responsible for the following:

  • Creation and review of project plans.
  • Coordinate project activities.
  • Understanding capacity and resources for projects
  • Evaluating and managing project deliverables to ensure that service expectations are achievable, developed, and met.
  • Assisting and removing any roadblocks identified by the Dealer or Development team.
  • Developing contingency plans for potential risks.
  • Ensure all dealer commitment and project progress is captured in required Reporting and Status Dashboards.
  • Monitoring project results for significant deviations. Ensuring adherence to quality standards and processes.
  • Host standup meetings, discussions, planning sessions, reviews and other types of meetings.
  • Produce reports, status slides, production process documentation, status updates, etc.
  • Provide meeting summaries & program updates for dealers and internal partners
  • Maintain regular engagement cadence with all assigned Caterpillar Dealers
  • Be a trusted advisor for Caterpillar dealers, maintaining strong relationships with Dealer and Caterpillar stakeholders.
  • Provide Dealer feedback to drive application development focused around delivering valuable business features.
  • Communicate with end users, dealers and internal customers to help with direct development, debugging, and testing of application software for accuracy, integrity, interoperability, and completeness.
  • Employee is also responsible for performing other job duties as assigned by Caterpillar management from time to time.

This position works directly with Slovakia based engineering leadership and Cat Digital in the UK and US.

What you have:

  • Significant experience in digital deployments, IT operations, or program/project management.
  • Ability to simplify complex information and create clear communications and presentations for diverse audiences.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for handling sensitive issues and persuading stakeholders inside and outside the organization.
  • Technical background with a solid understanding of IT systems and their interactions.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and work with several dealers simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in collaboration tools (SharePoint, Teams) and dashboards (Power BI).
  • Demonstrated experience influencing others and working across a matrixed organization.

Background and experience:

  • Planning: Tactical, Strategic: Knowledge of effective planning techniques and ability to contribute to operational (short term), tactical (1-2 years) and strategic (3-5 years) planning in support of the overall business and productplan.
  • Project Administration: Knowledge of project administration best practices and ability to use organizational strategies, practices and tools for administering projects.
  • Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
  • Data Gathering and Reporting: Knowledge of tools, techniques and processes for gathering and reporting data; ability to practice them in a particular department or division of a company.
  • Implementation: Knowledge of how to run applications for organizations; ability to implement application software within an organization and help end-users perform specific tasks (ex: accounting or graphic design).
  • IT Project Control and Reporting: Knowledge of project control and reporting; ability to monitor the vital signs of an IT project while managing its progress and delivery schedule.
  • IT Project Management: Knowledge of project management; ability to plan, organize, monitor and control IT projects using appropriate technical resources.
