Compensation – We support transparency, equity, and fairness in our compensation programs and provide a reasonable estimate of the salary range, based on data-driven market analysis, for each job posting. While it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range, a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role in Washington, DC (Headquarters) is $242,000 - $399,200. Team members may also be eligible for performance-based discretionary awards.
Hybrid work option – Staff will be assigned to the Washington, DC (Headquarters) office. Staff can choose to live and work from anywhere within the United States but will be required to commute to their assigned office or location for occasional intentional gatherings or meetings at the frequency required by their supervisor. Travel to an assigned office or location for commuting purposes will not be considered reimbursable business travel, unless otherwise required by state law. Business travel is reimbursable in an amount not exceeding the cost to travel from the assigned office or location, unless otherwise required by state law.

Role Summary
The PCAOB has a full-time, regular position for a Chief Data and Analytics Officer in the Office of Technology (OT) reporting to the Chief Information Officer (CIO). OT is responsible for the strategic planning and provisioning of technology products and services to the PCAOB.
The Chief Data and Analytic Officer will direct all aspects of data use and requirements within the PCAOB and will coordinate policies that will get promoted across the enterprise. The role will be an integral member of OT's senior management team and will be responsible for developing a culture across the PCAOB that promotes data and analytics as a critical enterprise asset.
Responsibilities
Co-develop strategy with the business
Collaborate with business units to incorporate business priorities and create enterprise data and analytics strategy and roadmap.
Identify and communicate the value of data and analytics across the PCAOB.
Establish data foundation
Set standards and measurement for data quality, compliance, data policy, data security, and data retention.
Develop and maintain data inventory, domain ontologies, and facilitate creation and maintenance of metadata dictionary.
Define and execute data management strategy and ensure alignment within the PCAOB.
Define and convene data governance infrastructure.
Innovate through advanced analytics
Establish data and analytics culture, strategy, governance, and processes.
Convene governance bodies and determine prioritization criteria for analytics use cases.
Develop and implement new analytics concepts and tools jointly with the business to enable effective work.
Advise recruitment and capability building to solidify analytics comparative advantage.
Drive collaboration across PCAOB divisions and stakeholders
Formulate strategic partnerships within the PCAOB to communicate the data management vision, goals, and objectives and obtain buy-in at all levels of organization.
Collaborate with the Chief Risk Officer, the Chief Information Officer, and other key privacy/compliance stakeholders to ensure data protection and privacy.
Manage data sharing agreements with data ownership bodies across the PCAOB and other required constituencies.
Lead and develop Staff
Perform the full range of supervisory duties, including evaluating employee performance; making recommendations for appointment and promotion; hearing and resolving complaints; identifying development and training needs of employees; and other related supervisory tasks.
Recruit, maintain, and develop staff consistent with business needs.
Qualifications
Education/Technical Expertise
A minimum of 15 years in technology and management roles with at least 5 years in data management and governance.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, business administration, or related discipline.
Excellent change management skills and proven ability to guide an organization undergoing a transition.
Has a security and data governance first mindset and is knowledgeable on data management model design, standards, and governance best practices.
Openness to, and the ability to deal with, rapid change in business needs, processes, and technologies.
Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships across an organization, balancing multiple stakeholder interests, and building coalitions.
Experience in building and managing cross-functional digital teams; experience in large-scale, multi-year transformation and capability building efforts.
Track record of successful leadership to drive results and proactively manage change in a complex and dynamic organizational, technological, and operating environment.
Strong collaboration skills, a focus on positive intent, and an interest in ensuring strong relationships with an ability to partner effectively with others in the pursuit of common goals.
Interest and strong ability in the sustainable and ongoing development of people, technology, and other elements essential to achieving results over the long term.
Strong business acumen with a proven ability to evaluate the costs, risks, and benefits associated with alternative actions before making decisions.
