Job Description Qualifications:

Boeing Commercial Airplanes is seeking an Associate Tool & Fixture Specialist (Level B) to support our 787 Manufacturing Team at North Charleston, South Carolina on Variable Shift!

We are seeking a safety conscientious, resilient, highly motivated, detail oriented, continuous learner to support multiple tooling operations across Boeing South Carolina. In a team environment, the chosen candidate will conduct operations including: 4 block cab crane, pendant controlled overhead crane, movement of 787 major body sections, aircraft towing, welding, shoring, tool inspections/repairs, and tool fabrication.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Performs routine tool set up activities.

  • Makes minor repairs.

  • Performs manufacture, assembly and fabrication of tools.

  • Operates various factory support equipment to move materials, products and tools as required.

  • Provides tooling support to other organizations.

  • Assists in determining fabrication and assembly processes for the design.

  • Assists in reverse engineering design and fabrication processes for parts.

  • Performs work in all weather conditions, including inclement weather conditions.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Must be willing to work any shift assigned.

  • Must have a current valid driver’s license.

  • 6+ months of work experience operating forklifts and electric pallet jacks.

  • 6+ months of work experience operating hand tools.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain Fall Protection Certification (<275lbs.).

  • Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time (4+ hours).

  • Must be able to carry and lift up to 25 pounds.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 1+ years of experience tool set-up and maintenance.

  • 1+ years of experience setting-up cutters for both manual and automation operations.

  • 1+ years of experience operating overhead cranes.

  • 1+ years of experience repairing, maintaining, construction, and/or the inspection of tools, dies, jigs, power feed, etc.

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. High School diploma/GED) and typically 1 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. vocational school/Associate).

Relocation:

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Summary pay range: $53,360 - $57,420.
