Who We Are

The Supplier Advertising team—within Wayfair’s Global Supplier Technology (GST) organization—owns the strategy, design, engineering, go to market, and analytics of Wayfair’s advertising offering. Our mission is to empower suppliers with the tools to gain awareness of their brands and products, and grow/optimize their product sales strategies. Our scope includes the end-to-end supplier-facing advertising experience within Partner Home, as well as the ad formats and placements integrated into Wayfair’s ecommerce experiences (desktop, mobile web, app).

What You’ll Do

As a Senior Product Design Lead for Supplier Advertising, you will drive the design strategy and execution for the most complicated pieces of our emerging ad business. This is a highly visible role with significant impact. The ideal candidate is a pragmatic design leader—able to navigate ambiguity to conceive a vision in the abstract, before transferring that vision into tangible design artifacts (mockups, wireframes, prototypes).

  • Act as both strategist and product practitioner.
  • Craft thoughtful and effective user experiences that balance business goals with customer needs.
  • Collaborate directly with product managers, engineers, designers, business stakeholders, and senior leadership through all stages of the product-development lifecycle.
  • Triangulate data from multiple inputs to inform design and product strategy.
  • Represent the voice of our customers (suppliers and shoppers) in product definition and strategy meetings.
  • Contribute to the development of team members through design review, modeled behavior, dedicated mentorship, or less formal coaching and advice.

What you’ll need

  • 8+ years of product design experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Industrial Design, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Leadership experience is preferred
  • Exceptional interpersonal, collaborative, and communication  skills.
  • Strong understanding of design processes; knowledge of what is possible and what will be hard to achieve and/or implement in a digital environment.
  • Expertise in producing design deliverables, including detailed user flows/task flows, user journeys, page flows, taxonomies/folksonomies, wireframes, annotations, and prototypes that represent interaction recommendations, etc..
  • Strong skills in modern design tools like Figma.
  • Working knowledge of HTML/CSS/JS—enough to understand feasibility of execution.
  • The ability to think at systems level and design solutions that are scalable and extensible beyond the immediate use.
  • Experience presenting and defending designs to senior and executive leadership.
  • Portfolio and/or case studies of shipped work that demonstrates an ability to effectively design for highly technical experiences, unfailing advocacy for the user, data-driven approach, and strategic thinking.
  • Bonuses:
    • Experience designing for e-commerce
    • Experience designing for advertising/ad-tech (supply, demand, and/or publisher-based)
    • Strong user research skills are highly valued.
