Job Description:

Proposal Develop Analyst Sr - Commercial Proposals  Team

Location: This position will work a hybrid model (remote and office). The ideal candidate will live within 50 miles of one of our Elevance Health PulsePoint locations listed on the requisition.

The Proposal Develop Analyst Sr is responsible for providing technical and consultative support relative to the execution of sales strategies and proposal development for large pre-sale accounts focused on Specialty, Health and Wellness.

 

How you will make an impact:

  • Manages the coordination of proposal activities and responses with other operating areas such as Claims, Underwriting, Sales, and Specialty companies assuring their actions come together as a seamless response to the Request for Proposal (RFP).

  • Responds to detailed RFP specifications including questionnaires and case specific requests in a manner which expounds upon the business units’ capabilities with respect to product design, managed care programs, financial strategies, etc.

  • Develops and delivers large account proposals, including responding to broker/consultant specifications and questionnaires, interpreting questionnaires, researching answers and crafting responses with the assistance of a Q&A database.

  • Assesses RFP to determine completeness and compatibility with the business units’ products and services.

  • Coordinates and participates in Strategy Meeting conference calls with Sales and Underwriting.

  • Assists with the integration of new products and services within the proposal system, including updating, rewriting and editing the various data bases used in creating proposals.

Minimum Requirements:

BA/BS degree and a minimum of 3 years of related experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experiences:

  • Proposal RFP experience most notably in the healthcare industry is highly preferred.

  • Understanding of the Group Health and Employee Benefit market and knowledge of product line and sales process is strongly preferred.

  • Ability to analyze and interpret EOC language to create benefit summaries strongly preferred.

  • Experience and knowledge writing RFP for public bids including coordination of terms and conditions, redacted responses with legal, coordinating hard copy production strongly preferred.

  • Strong technical and custom writing skills, as well as grammatical and editing skills; this includes the ability to write about different brands or products in a unified voice and effectively translate verbiage from SMEs into compelling prose is strongly preferred.

  • Experience and knowledge of Qvidian RFP, Questionnaire, and Proposal Automation Software strongly preferred. 

  • Experience interacting confidently with key stakeholders, as a subject matter expert and comfortable with influencing decision-making preferred.

  • Excellent written, oral, presentation and interpersonal communication skills with the proven ability to negotiate expectations between multiple parties preferred. 

  • Proficient of Microsoft Office products, most notably expertise in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook strongly preferred.

For candidates working in person or remotely in the below location(s), the salary* range for this specific position is $71,316 to $127,350
