Role summary:As a Software Engineer III, you will lead the design, development, and maintenance of scalable software solutions that meet business and technical requirements. About the team:The Fusion-Cost team specializes in cost management and data analytics to support business goals. This group collaborates to design and implement scalable software solutions using agile methodologies. Team members engage in requirement analysis, solution design, coding, testing, and deployment, ensuring alignment with technical and business needs. The team values expertise, innovation, and effective communication to deliver high-quality, maintainable applications. By leveraging skills in software development, data engineering, and API integration, the team drives continuous improvement and impactful results within the Walmart Group of Companies.
What you'll do:
- Analyze and translate business and technical requirements into scalable software solutions using Agile methodologies.
- Develop, configure, and maintain high-quality code adhering to coding standards and security policies.
- Design and implement components with a focus on maintainability, availability, and scalability.
- Build automation scripts to support Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery pipelines.
- Create and execute test cases to ensure code quality and resolve defects through root cause analysis.
- Monitor application performance, troubleshoot issues, and apply corrective and adaptive maintenance.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to align development efforts with business objectives and project milestones.
What you'll bring:
- Proven expertise in software design and development using Java and Spring Boot within Agile environments.
- Strong knowledge of coding standards, secure coding practices, and software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes.
- Experience with application development, unit testing, and automation scripting for CI/CD pipelines.
- Proficiency in working with relational and NoSQL databases, web services, and telemetry implementation.
- Familiarity with DevOps tools including Azure DevOps, code management, and continuous integration/deployment.
- Ability to analyze requirements, create user stories, and maintain traceability matrices.
- Skilled in defect management, root cause analysis, and performance troubleshooting.
- Effective collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, maintainable, and high-availability software solutions.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $180,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
