A Cloud Engineer at Micron Technology Inc is responsible for partnering with architects and business units to implement solutions into a highly secured cloud environment. The person in this role is part of a team that is responsible for cost and platform optimization of the deployed solutions, ensuring they are following defined standard processes and security principles. This team is also responsible for enabling business partners and customers by providing continuous support of, and collaboration with, other teams and projects, particularly DevOps, SecOps and Automation teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Automation, DevOps and SecOps in the provisioning of cloud environments through the concept of pipeline engineering using Terraform Templates and other tools
  • Monitor and Optimize solutions deployed in the Cloud Service Provider
  • Research, Define, and support standard processes for new and existing services running in the cloud
  • Collaborate with the Micron IT Architecture team, both internal and external to I&O
  • Collaborate with Enterprise and Domain Architects to ensure we are deploying the right solutions at the right time to meet the business needs.
  • Drive proof of concepts deployed in the cloud
  • Ensure high availability and 24x7 monitoring by solving production issues, engage appropriate parties, and drive through to resolution
  • Provide a streamlined and smooth path to consuming cloud services using standardized offerings and applying CI/CD and DevOps
  • Continually improves operations through routine monitoring of system performance metrics, review of system log files, trend analysis, configuration, incident and problem management processes

Qualifications / Experience:

  • Minimum experience of 5 to 8 years supporting a hybrid cloud environment
  • Extensive experience with Cloud technologies (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform) and native toolsets such as Azure Log Analytics, Azure DevOps, Azure ARM Templates, Hashicorp Terraform Templates, AWS Cloud Formation
  • Experience supporting container technologies: Kubernetes, Openshift, OKD.
  • Working Knowledge of one or more of the following: Azure Virtual Machines, Blob Storage, Azure DNS, Virtual Networks, Redis Cache and Azure App Service
  • Strong experience with Windows and Linux operating system(s)
  • Deep technical experience in one or more of the following areas: software design or development, application design, systems operations/management, database architecture, virtualization, IP networking, storage, IT security and Linux system administration
  • Demonstrated experience with Web Services, API Gateways and application integration development and design
  • Proven experience with Agile development, Scrum and Application Lifecycle Management

The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is:

$107,000.00 - $231,000.00

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.  The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries of the position across all US locations.  Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure and relevant education or training.  The pay scale is subject to change depending on business needs.  Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process. Additional compensation may include benefits, discretionary bonuses and equity.
