Foundation Risk Partners, one of the fastest growing insurance brokerage and consulting firms in the US, is adding a P&C Claims Advocate to their Millennium team in Orange, CA Metro Region. 

Job Summary:

This person will professionally manage each claim to insure the lowest possible cost to our customers.  While adhering to the statutes, rules and regulations of each jurisdiction. Additionally, one of the absolute key issues is to understand the difference between working for a carrier and working for a broker. In many cases, carrier claims personnel seek to mainly find ways to not pay a claim. In other words, we’re zealously advocating ways to get a claim paid to make our client’s whole.

Essential Functions:

Core Responsibilities:

  • Timely acknowledgement of claims upon receipt
  • Review and determination of coverage (24 hours)
  • Initial contact with insured or their representatives (12 hours)
  • Check and work diary daily
  • Timely input of file notes
  • Assist with determination of liability and damages
  • Ongoing contact and communication with insured and claimant
  • Assist in the direction of defense counsel and expert witnesses
  • Claim reviews and reporting 15-30 days
  • Assist with negotiation of settlements
  • Concluding claim
  • Claim file documentation - hard file and an electronic file
  • Notes file will record
  • The development of factual information
  • Contact dates and summary of conversations with insured, adjuster and defense attorney
  • Proactive management of the claim
  • Anything that affects the exposure of the claim
  • Supervisory notes
  • Claim review reports

Other duties:

  • Claim receipt, assignment, and setup
  • Coverage verification & issues 
  • Investigation
  • Reserves 
  • Reporting - Claims Review Report, Excess Reporting and Full Caption Report
  • Pro-active claim management 
  • Communication Requirements 
  • Litigation management

  • Authority 

Competencies & Qualifications: 

  • Education - High School Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • 5+ years of prior P&C experience 
  • Basic knowledge of CA law
  • Proficient skill in Microsoft Office product

This range represents the estimated low and high end of the salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on factors including but not limited to performance, location, and experience. The range listed is just one component of FRP's total compensation package for employees.

Pay Transparency Range
$85,000$110,000 USD
