Nature of work:
Assist in the preparation and delivery of lessons from a framework provided by teachers. Attend group meetings and report on class activities. Course description: Integrated four-skills (listening, reading, speaking and writing); includes grammar review, vocabulary development, study skills, use of IT resources, learning strategies and intercultural competence; approach is student-centered, interactive, and task based; emphasis is on formative evaluation.
Requirements:
Capacity to facilitate group work through a student-centered, task-based learning approach and to explain the English verb system, sentence structure, and academic vocabulary to second language learners. Previous ESL training and classroom experience is an asset; classroom multimedia experience is an asset; excellent command of the English language; interview may be required.

This course is offered exclusively on the University of Ottawa campus and requires in-person instruction.
Schedule: Monday 2:30 PM – 3:50PM, Tuesday 2:30PM – 5:20PM, Friday 2:30 PM – 3:50PM
