JR57721 Senior Engineer - Firmware Test

As a Firmware Test Engineer at Micron, you will be part of a forward-thinking team of engineers that participate in the development of state of the art storage solution. You will solve complex problems, be responsible for enabling Micron’s products with flawless and issue free release to customers.

Key Responsibilities :

  • You will assist in testing the SSD firmware rigorously at all phases of the development process to increase the efficiency of firmware development

  • You are required to have detailed understanding of firmware design, develop white and grey box test scripts to verify firmware's behavior

  • You will triage failures and help the development teams to resolve the firmware issues

Requirements :

  • Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering / Computer Engineering with at least 2 to 5 years of relevant experience

  • In depth knowledge and extensive experience in firmware testing

  • Expertise in the use of scripting languages, programming tools and environments

  • Extensive programming experience in Python

  • Experience in the storage industry in SSD, HDD, storage systems, or a related technology

  • Understanding of storage interfaces including ideally PCIe/NVMe, SATA, or SAS

  • Experience with NAND flash and other non-volatile storage

  • Ability to work on complex tasks independently with minimum supervision

  • Good leadership and able to coach junior engineers

  • Ability to work with other functional teams and under the pressure of multiple priorities
