About the Role
As Manager II, Enterprise Applications for Marketing Systems, you will act as a champion to identify and implement technology solutions to support our commercial roadmap and to make an impact on our healthcare customers and patients. This role will collaborate and partner with marketing and other commercial stakeholders to define and execute marketing campaigns, website management and analytics to create awareness about our treatments
Let’s talk about some of the key responsibilities of the role:
- Act as a subject matter expert and strategic advisor to marketing team in the evaluation, prioritization, design, planning and deployment of solutions in Salesforce Marketing Cloud and other digital platforms to drive exceptional user experience and campaign effectiveness.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to prioritize various marketing initiatives, assist in developing business requirements and translating business requirements into technical solution documents.
- Partner with commercial business teams, marketing agencies, and website hosting partners to manage the performance, deployments, and operations of commercial websites.
- Partner with implementation and managed service providers for solution architecture, design, and implementation of solutions in marketing cloud.
- Lead technical solution design workshops, walkthroughs, and user acceptance testing activities with business stakeholders and implementation partners, ensuring compliance with pharmaceutical industry regulations.
- Stay current with Salesforce Marketing Cloud releases, updates, automations, and future roadmaps, collaborating with marketing stakeholders to identify the optimal timing for implementing improvements to the Marketing Cloud data model and architecture within the Tarsus environment
- Learn and apply industry best practices in marketing automation, AI, and machine learning technologies to enhance marketing systems, drive adoption, and improve effectiveness for customers and consumers.
- Enhance reporting and analytics capabilities to support data-driven decisions on Marketing Cloud campaigns, awareness initiatives, and website transactions.
- Experience using Salesforce Einstein analytics and copilot will be a plus.
- Collaborate with commercial operations, sales, and IT teams to integrate data and processes across Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Veeva CRM systems, Master Data Management, and the commercial data warehouse.
- Effectively communicate marketing and website data insights to non-technical business stakeholders, ensuring clarity and understanding across teams.
- Coordinate deployments of new solutions, website changes, and integrations into production, minimizing downtime and customer impact.
Factors for Success:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, Marketing, or Business, with 8+ years of relevant experience in architecting and implementing marketing systems and solutions, preferably with at least four years in the biotech, pharmaceutical, or life sciences industries.
- 5+ years of experience using Salesforce Marketing Cloud and other email/marketing automation systems, with a focus on integration with other platforms.
- Salesforce Marketing Cloud Certifications preferred.
- Experience in designing and implementing omnichannel marketing solutions.
- Strong understanding of Agile principles, including user story creation and grooming.
- Expertise with all Marketing Cloud Builders and Studios, Journey Builder, custom queries, personalization for email templates, AMPscript-based dynamic templates, automation jobs, and building comprehensive customer journeys, with a solid understanding of Marketing Cloud’s contact data model.
- Hands-on experience with Email Studio, including A/B testing, segmentation, integration with microsites, websites, and landing pages, personalization concepts, triggered emails, and campaign waves.
- Experience with Veeva CRM platform and familiarity with third-party HCP data is a plus.
- Front-end development experience, including building, editing, debugging, and troubleshooting Cloud Pages using HTML, CSS, SQL, and AMPscript on content management platforms like WordPress and Drupal.
- Experience implementing automated solutions using Marketing Cloud Server-Side JavaScript (SSJS).
- Proficiency with Google Analytics and social media analytics, marketing cloud intelligence using Datorama.
- Any experience and knowledge in implementing GenAI or Machine Learning capabilities will be a plus.
- Expertise in SQL and a deep understanding of Marketing Cloud’s contact data model.
- Experience working with web hosting platforms, monitoring website performance, and ensuring platforms remain up to date with required patches to accommodate website traffic variations.
- Familiarity with Marketing Cloud Connector and MobileConnect is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements in the pharmaceutical industry, such as HIPAA and GDPR.
- Work in a fast-paced innovative environment while remaining flexible and proactive.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with individuals at all levels of responsibility and authority.
- Quick learner with strong troubleshooting, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a cross-functional, multi-partner environment.
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills, attention to detail, and experience thriving in a fast-paced organization with competing priorities, including the ability to prioritize based on criticality and risk.

- The position will be based in our beautiful Irvine office, complete with a courtyard, snacks, drinks, and occasional catered meals. We provide a hybrid work environment.
- Remote will be considered, but preference will be given to onsite/hybrid candidates.

At Tarsus, we understand the importance of attracting and retaining top talent. The expected base pay range for this position is $121,500 - $170,100 plus bonus, stock equity, and comprehensive benefits. The base pay range reflects the target range for this position, but individual pay will be determined by additional factors such as job-related skills, experience and relevant education or training.
