We are now seeking an Associate General Counsel to support our Office of Legal Affairs and Risk Management.

Associate General Counsel – Contracts/Information Technology

Under the direction of the Vice President and Associate General Counsel, the selected candidate will be responsible for reviewing, drafting and negotiating a variety of contracts for equipment, goods and services, with a particular emphasis on Information Technology matters and complex transactions, including software, hardware, content and data license agreements, service provider contracts, artificial intelligence licensure and development, website and web application development, co-branding, joint venture agreements, research and development, distribution, marketing and supply agreements, as well as purchase orders, standards terms and conditions, statements of work, service level agreements, nondisclosure agreements, and intellectual property covenants. The selected candidate will also work with the legal and IT teams of NYP on strategies and operational issues related to IT matters and complex transactions, as well as other matters as assigned.  Experience in healthcare is preferred but not required.  As Associate General Counsel, the candidate will be joining a high-intensity, full-service corporate legal department of more than twenty attorneys and will be expected to work collaboratively with fellow counsel and the department’s business partners at all levels of hospital management.

This is a full time position working 4 days at our Corporate Office in mid-town Manhattan and the ability for 1 day remote.

Required Criteria

  • Admission to the New York State Bar
  • Law Degree
  • In depth experience in information technology and contract law
  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience

Please note that all roles require on-site presence (variable by role). Therefore, all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP.

Salary Range:

$210,000-$297,500/Annual
