Heidelberg Materials Australia is looking to recruit enthusiastic and experienced Tipper Drivers, who will be based out of Gaskell Sands and Red Hill quarries.  You will also need to be flexible to work from various plants across the Perth Metro region to assist with our supply and demand levels.  A HC licence is required, along with truck and dog experience preferred. Working a Monday to Friday day shift role, commencing around 5:30am and finishing around 4:00pm, with more overtime available according to business needs.

Driving a truck and dog tipper for Heidelberg Materials Australia is a great role if you enjoy having a little bit of variety in your day, but you also enjoy a bit of routine. On some days you will be meeting with new customers but on others you will be seeing the same faces as yesterday. You don’t have to be a customer service super star, but it would help if you can hold a conversation with our customers when you need to.

About the role:

• Most days will start between 4am and 6am and drivers can do up to and over 10 hours per day, and around 50 – 55 hours per week. Saturday work is generally available, paid at overtime rates
• We pay a base rate and once you go past your regular hours in one day the first two after that will be at time and a half. If you do more than 2 hours overtime in a day, you go to double time. Meal allowances are generally paid after 10 hours in one shift
• You will be operating our truck and dogs, If you haven’t mastered the art of a dual tip, don’t worry, we’ll show you how.
• Most days you will start at our quarry, and you will be delivering aggregates to our clients. Some days will be the same as the last one, but others will have a bit of variety in where you drop off.
