Senior Developer Marketing Front End
Job Description
The Sr Front-End Mktg Developer for Web Support is responsible for maintenance of all currently deployed microsites, pre-login pages, landing pages, websites, and other digital/online properties. In addition to the support work, this role will also help develop and deploy new digital projects (based on template guidelines and provided web structure). The Developer will both help with planning and execution of all larger scale web support and development tasks.
Working with the Digital Marketing Operations team and Digital Traffic Manager, this individual will triage, deploy live all web maintenance and new development tickets through the Agency ticketing system. The role supports multiple brands including (Great-West Financial, Empower, Empower Institutional), and multiple digital properties both internal and external.
The Developer will work closely with digital requesters to answer questions, address issues, and support new/existing digital needs. A high level of professional service support is needed via phone, Webex, Teams, email communications, and updates in tickets, to ensure projects meet the requirements. This role also needs to effectively communicate and update marketing team members as well as other internal groups of the status and timelines of digital web/maintenance projects
The Developer will work with a QA or internal Digital Maintenance team member to ensure that all digital services meet company accessibility standards and are fully responsive. The role will require consistent QA of their own code and finished work.
The role will also support high level design needs with the requirement to optimize web images, creation of hi-res mockups, and full-functional prototypes.
As the organization migrates select sites into the Drupal Content Management System, knowledge and experience with Drupal 8 is highly desired to support future Drupal efforts including template development, administration, and publication of digital content).
The Sr Front-End Developer for Web Support must be a team player, self-sufficient and a multi-tasker. Must be able to troubleshoot issues and fix issues with no supervision. The individual must be comfortable in a very fast-paced environment with the ability to quickly shift gears and address rush requests as needed as part of the normal course of a day. This role must show enthusiasm to stay up to date on new technologies and integrate them into projects effectively.
Must demonstrate a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work with Systems developers and QA teams to be as effective as possible. Act as a mentor and support junior level Digital Marketing Operations (DMO) developers.
The Sr Front-End Developer for Web Support will also be expected to give productive feedback on process improvements as it relates to both the ticketing workflows and internal dev/production tools to make web production/maintenance more effective.
