Citi is looking for a Senior Cash Management Sales Officer to lead treasury and working capital sales within our Digital Tech & Comms industry vertical, sitting at the heart of Citi's Commercial Bank and its global client franchise. In this role, you will own and grow a portfolio of Commercial Banking clients, originate new business, and serve as a trusted advisor to both clients and internal partners — delivering innovative treasury solutions that create measurable impact across global, regional, and local markets. This is a high-visibility opportunity for an entrepreneurial sales professional ready to shape client strategy and contribute directly to Citi's commercial growth agenda.
Responsibilities
- Own and grow a portfolio of Commercial Banking clients within the Digital Tech & Comms sector, taking global, regional, and local accountability for delivering treasury and cash management solutions that meet their evolving needs.
- Originate and win new client mandates by actively prospecting within the sector, identifying opportunities aligned with Citi's value proposition, and converting pipeline into revenue.
- Act as the primary point of contact for treasury solutions across your portfolio, building trusted advisor relationships with clients and partnering closely with Relationship Managers to deepen engagement.
- Design and structure innovative treasury solutions that balance client objectives with appropriate risk and reward, collaborating with product and sales partners to deliver best-in-class outcomes.
- Manage sales pipeline with discipline — tracking metrics, reporting on progress, and ensuring consistent execution from opportunity identification through to revenue realization.
- Mentor and develop junior sales colleagues, sharing market knowledge, client insights, and best practices to strengthen the broader team's capability.
- Contribute to business strategy by providing input on market trends, client needs, and growth opportunities within the Digital Tech & Comms vertical.
- Uphold the highest standards of regulatory compliance and ethical conduct in all client interactions and business decisions, safeguarding Citi's reputation and its clients' interests.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum of 6–10 years of experience in corporate or commercial banking, with a background in financial sales, treasury solutions, or corporate treasury management.
- Bachelor's degree in business or a related field.
- Demonstrated ability to originate, structure, and grow complex client relationships within a large corporate or institutional portfolio.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify client needs, develop tailored treasury solutions, and convert opportunities into revenue.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and navigate complex, multi-party conversations.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the drive to integrate quickly, take ownership, and deliver results in a fast-paced, global environment.
Beneficial Skills & Qualifications
- MBA or equivalent advanced degree in a relevant discipline.
- Experience working within or selling into the Digital Tech & Comms sector, with an understanding of the treasury and working capital challenges facing companies in this space.
- Familiarity with global treasury product structures, including liquidity management, payments, and trade finance solutions.
- Experience contributing to team strategy, talent development, or cross-functional sales initiatives within a large financial institution.
