Overview

DLH is seeking a career-level Project Manager (PM) to support the Coordinating Center for the ACTG Clinical Trials Network (Advancing Clinical Therapeutics Globally for HIV and Other Infections), one of the oldest and largest networks aimed at curing HIV and other emerging infectious diseases. The PM directs and supervises all support resources for the performance of the ACTG Network Coordinating Center (NCC). They are also responsible for oversight of the implementation of ACTG NCC projects and act as a single point of contact for these projects. The PM also interfaces with all stakeholders and team members who support NCC projects including clients, network component collaborators, network member end users, IT staff, and client services staff.

Responsibilities

  • Develops detailed project management and work plans, schedules, monitoring plans, project estimates, resource plans, status reports, and communications plans that adhere to project and company policies and SOPs
  • Responsible for timelines, budget management, contract management, and cross-functional logistics and resources
  • Conducts project meetings and is responsible for project tracking and analysis
  • Ensures adherence to quality standards and reviews project deliverables
  • Manages the integration of vendor tasks and tracks and reviews vendor deliverables
  • Recommends and takes action to direct the analysis and identification of innovative solutions to challenges
  • Manages multiple projects under the purview of the ACTG NCC
  • Participates in the development and execution of budgets, marketing plans, and other strategic tools
  • Participates in driving initiatives for achieving established objectives
  • Serves as the primary management interface for the company, customer, and senior staff
  • Provides management services including general administrative oversight, time accounting, financial tracking, cost projection, inventory management, personnel evaluation and support
  • Ensures adequate training for ACTG NCC staff in accordance with their roles and specific job assignments
  • Responsible for the preparation of and accountability for all contract deliverables
  • Responsible for assisting in the leadership and direction of multidisciplinary staff
  • Prepares and approves Standard Operating Procedures, Protocols, and other technical documentation
  • Supports the maintenance of inspection readiness
  • Able to supervise, manage, support, and evaluate personnel
  • This is a remote role – attendance at an annual network meeting in the DC area is required

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in public health, social sciences, or related field. Master’s degree preferred. PMP preferred. Excellent verbal communication and organization skills; ability to follow detailed work instructions; strong problem-solving and decision-making skills; ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and work collaboratively

Experience

Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of project management experience in public health research and/or HIV or other emerging infectious disease clinical trials. A Master’s degree is preferred

Basic Compensation

$75,000 – $85,000 yearly salary

The salary offered within this range will be based on the selected candidates’ skills, experience, education, market data, and internal parity. DLH may offer other rewards that may include performance incentives and program-specific awards.  An applicant’s salary history will not be used to determine compensation.
