Job Summary:
Plan and execute effective sales strategies to recruit, retain and manage Sponsor organizations and relationships to achieve established collection goals through maximizing high productivity blood drives. Develop potential Sponsor leads. Educate Sponsors in organizational requirements. Provide accurate record keeping and support sponsor recognition. Apply appropriate methods to ensure efficient calendar scheduling of blood drives to maximize use of resources. Provide support, development and/or leadership guidance
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement overall annual and long-term sponsor partnership annual blood drive programs in assigned geography to achieve weekly, monthly and annual collection goal. Identify, develop and implement creative strategies to attract, sell, manage and retain Blood Program Leaders/Sponsor partnerships. Develop plans to effect maximum sponsor partnerships of key specific market segments.
Maintain a high level of communication with all assigned Blood Program Leaders/Sponsors to ensure Sponsor is dedicated to their annual blood program and partnership with the American Red Cross. Provide sufficient organizational and operational support to sponsor contact to ensure achievement of collection operation and annual goals.
Identify and apply appropriate methods to ensure productive scheduling of blood drives by assigned Sponsors to maximize use of resources and meet blood collection goals. Support the blood drive annual calendar build.
Schedule education programs for sponsor contact within assigned groups to assist in meeting collection objectives and to comply with all ARCBS directives, Code of Federal Regulations, local operating procedures and other related regulatory requirements.
Develop a working knowledge for the assigned geography, including but not limited to its government, demographics organizations, and competitive profile. Apply that knowledge to all aspects of servicing Sponsor groups and the penetration of designated markets.
Maintain accurate records in appropriate systems to provide tracking and statistical data on Sponsor group performance.
Appropriately utilize tools, technology and strategy provided by the organization to enhance customer service, efficiency and productivity. Actively collaborate with Biomedical and Humanitarian staff and American Red Cross Board members.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in marketing, sales, communications or related field; or an equivalent combination of related education and experience required.
Experience: Minimum three years of related experience, and/or time in the role of Account Manager required.
Management Experience: N/A
Skills & Abilities: Knowledge of group dynamics, direct sales, customer maintenance techniques, negotiation skills. Good organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities effectively. Excellent oral and written communications skills, including training and presentation skills. Ability to work on a team. Ability to work with internal/external partners as well as internal unit management teams to resolve complex business problems. Ability to analyze historical collection data, project upcoming collection trends, define goals, develop measurements and achieve operational improvements in key performance metrics. Ability to effectively implement programs preferred.
A current valid driver's license and good driving record is required.
Travel: Regional travel may be required.
