An exciting new role has opened within the Regulatory and Control Team as a Regulatory Change & Control Manager.

As a Regulatory specialist in MIFID you will deliver and maintain: the Governance & Regulatory Control Framework, through oversight of the supporting 1LOD procedures, processes and controls functions as intended to protect the bank.

The difference you’ll make:

  • Reporting and execution of the regulatory controls and the reporting of the regulatory controls, as well as monitoring and tracking escalations to resolution across the business

  • Assisting in the creation and embedding of control frameworks for each regulation (MIFID, Dodd Frank, EMIR, SFTR, SMMD/MMSR, FACTA/CRS, Volcker etc)

  • Using knowledge of the business and regulation to ensure the correct controls are embedded to maintain a good level of compliance

  • Assisting business development of regulatory procedures, processes and business control requirements as part of new regulatory implementation programmes, and ongoing reviews

  • Leading walkthroughs and identifying/validating key controls and partnering with Desks, Compliance, Legal and Group functions to design and improve business control workflows

  • Producing and, where necessary, updating documentation including process flowcharts, process narratives, risk and controls matrices and evaluate controls as new systems are developed and/or process changes

What you’ll bring:

These are the essential requirements you need to be successful in this role:

  • Technical Knowledge of MiFID and transaction reporting

  • Good understanding of the regulatory landscape especially thematic reviews / critical topics raised by the FCA and PRA

  • Educated to Degree level in a relevant subject (such as Law, Business and STEM) or equivalent

  • Experience of Corporate and Investment banking

It would also be nice for you to have:

  • Technical knowledge of  other core regulations such us: EMIR, Margin, DF, SFTR, SMMD/MMSR and FATCA/CRS

  • FO, MO, Compliance 2LOD, Internal Audit, Consultancy/Internal Change team background

  • Experience in regulatory controls, processes, systems and regulatory change projects

  • Master’s degree or MBA or equivalent

What else you need to know:

This role is based at our offices in Triton Square, London located within easy walking distance from Warren Street and Euston.

To support this, we offer site-based contracts with a hybrid working pattern and our expected level of attendance in an office is at least 12 days per month (pro-rata for part-time roles).
