Director Implementation, ERP


 

What you will be doing:

The Director of ERP Consulting and Implementation leads strategic ERP deployments across healthcare organizations, ensuring alignment with member goals and operational excellence. This role oversees the execution of complex, integrated product installations and advises executives on best practices for leveraging ERP solutions to drive performance improvement and cost optimization.  The Director collaborates with cross-functional teams including Materials Management, ITS, Product Management, Sales, Field Team, Advisory, Business Analytics, and Technical Support to deliver high-impact results. Responsibilities will include business and technical implementation services; analyzing and improving process and people performance; managing project outcomes, deliverables, schedules, and financials; and collaborating with leadership on continuous improvement.  This position is pivotal in transitioning clients from implementation to maintenance, ensuring long-term success and satisfaction.  This role is expected to help grow the ERP business, collaborate with, and/or lead other Premier associates, and to manage relationships with senior customer leaders and staff.

Key Responsibilities

Responsibility # 1 - ERP Strategy & Execution – 40%

  • Capable of Leading end-to-end ERP implementation projects for hospitals, health systems, and other healthcare entities.

  • Define and execute strategic plans aligned with member objectives using Premier ERP and associated solutions.

  • Support PMO in managing escalations internally and with customers.

  • Ensure seamless transition to support and maintenance teams post-implementation.

Responsibility #2 – Stakeholder Engagement & Advisory – 30%

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to member executives and staff, guiding ERP adoption and optimization.

  • Facilitate collaboration across internal and external stakeholders to ensure project alignment and value delivery.

  • Maintain awareness of broader business needs and integrate ERP solutions accordingly

Responsibility #3 Team Leadership & Coordination – 20%

  • Partner with the Integrated Implementation team to coordinate project planning and execution.

  • Mentor and guide cross-functional teams to ensure consistent delivery and technical excellence.

  • Act as the primary SME for assigned ERP products and maintain general knowledge of complementary solutions.

  • Support sales activities in new and existing customers

  • Serve as lead subject matter experts

Responsibility #4 – Continuous Improvement & Innovation – 10%

  • Monitor performance metrics and identify opportunities for process and product enhancements.

  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to inform ERP strategy.

  • Identify and deliver improvements in consulting methodology, deliverables, and tools

  • Provide training and coaching to other Premier staff

  • Drive product innovation

Work Experience:

Years of Applicable Experience - 7 or more years

Education:

Bachelors (Required)


 

Preferred Qualifications

Skills:

  • Implementing and/or managing ERP solutions in a healthcare environment

  • Functional experience in accounting, supply chain or equivalent subject matter

  • Experience with project management; leading projects on time, on budget, and in scope

  • Strategic thinking and ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • Technical competency in ERP systems and integration methodologies

Experience:

  • Monitor performance metrics and identify opportunities for process and product enhancements.

  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to inform ERP strategy.

  • Identify and deliver improvements in consulting methodology, deliverables, and tools

Working Conditions: Remote


 

Travel Requirements: Travel 41-60% within the US


 

Physical Demands: Sedentary: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves remaining stationary most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if movement is required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.


 

Premier’s compensation philosophy is to ensure that compensation is reasonable, equitable, and competitive in order to attract and retain talented and highly skilled employees. Premier’s internal salary range for this role is $113,000 - $188,000. Final salary is dependent upon several market factors including, but not limited to, departmental budgets, internal equity, education, unique skills/experience, and geographic location. Premier utilizes a wide-range salary structure to allow base salary flexibility within our ranges.
