About the Role:

The Vendor Credentialing Specialist is responsible for vendor credentialing, Fleet support and new hire onboarding and other support activities for all associates, field and non-field facing, within Convatec. As a Subject Matter Expert (SME), on Vendor Credentialing needs this role is also responsible to maintain end to end needs of sales rep credentialing. In addition to managing vendor credentialing, SFE specialist will also liase with our Fleet management administrator to ensure smooth execution of our fleet program and that sales reps are supported optimally. This document describes the major duties, responsibilities and authorities of this job and is not intended to represent a complete list of all tasks and functions.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for administering, training and supporting vendor credentialing best practices and processes for our field-based and HQ employees, which include solid understanding, interpretation and enforcement of vendor credentialing processes.
  • Create, develop, and execute updated training curriculums for Convatec Associates that meet or exceed the VC authorities’ requirements.
  • Manage the end-to-end process for vendor credentialing for all associates from hire date and beyond, which may include but are not limited to, tracking training requirements of all associate, enhancement of process documentation, update training materials, collaborate with key stakeholders (legal, sales, and HR).
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions with regards to associate’s questions.
  • Partner with the Fleet management administrator to ensure sales reps are being supported optimally and also provide necessary updates on timely basis.
  • Manage Vendor Credentialing and Fleet budget and contracts appropriately while partnering with external organization and internal finance stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to patient safety and product quality by maintaining compliance with all Convatec Quality Systems requirements
  • Support new hire onboarding activities with necessary system access and training as requested
  • Provide ad-hoc analysis, and other job related duties as requested.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelors degree and a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience providing project management and/or program administration support to a field sales organization required or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
  • Experience pharmaceutical, medical device or highly regulated industry is desired
  • Vendor credentialing experience is preferred
  • Exceptional People, project management, communication, organizational, interpersonal and analytical skills essential combined with demonstrated teamwork
  • Must be proficient in all of the Microsoft office programs (word, excel, powerpoint and outlook).

  • Ability to successfully work cross-functionally as needed
  • Proven experience in supporting field-based employees and Sr. Management.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy/integrity of data required.
  • Strong customer service focus and prioritization skills
  • Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills to be able to work cross functionally across various departments
  • Detail oriented, able to multi-task and prioritize and provide deliverables within the required timeframe
  • Experience with Project management, training, policies, procedures and internal control requirements
  • Advanced skills including Excel, Access, and VBA
  • Ability to work flexible hours and meet tight deadlines
