Job Description

As a Media Buyer, you will play a crucial role in the setup, management, and optimization of media investments across various channels, including social, search, display, video, and linear & connected TV. Your efforts will support our fundraising objectives by driving increased media awareness and maximizing donation conversions within our Performance Marketing ecosystem.

You will collaborate closely with internal and external business partners, understanding their media buying processes, and optimizing buys based on established campaign goals. Working alongside Media Strategists and Media Analysts, you will deliver best-in-class Paid Media solutions for our Relational, Experiential, and Territory business partners. Your expertise in media buying, specific channel KPIs, and industry trends will be essential in optimizing overall performance outcomes. Additionally, you will partner with Media Strategy, Performance Analytics, and UX/content teams to analyze results across all response channels and inform optimizations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the setup, management, and optimization of media investments across social, search, display, video, and linear & connected TV channels.
  • Drive increased media awareness and maximize donation conversions to support fundraising objectives.
  • Collaborate with internal and external business partners to understand media buying processes and optimize buys based on campaign goals.
  • Work closely with Media Strategists and Media Analysts to deliver top-tier Paid Media solutions.
  • Provide subject matter expertise in media buying, specific channel KPIs, and industry trends.
  • Partner with Media Strategy, Performance Analytics, and UX/content teams to analyze results and inform optimizations.

Job Requirements:

  • Experience working with large data sets and complex digital user interfaces.
  • Proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, chart creation, and VLOOKUP’s.
  • Strong analytical skills to decipher delimited naming conventions/taxonomy and make optimization decisions based on results.
  • Self-driven with a strong desire to learn about the industry and programmatic best practices.
  • Keen interest in traditional and digital communications, with a focus on emerging media.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to zero-defect campaign setup and execution.
  • Ability to prioritize effectively and focus on impactful tasks, tracking and reporting on campaign results.
  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in a quantitative or analytical field such as business, finance, or mathematics.
  • Knowledge of CTV campaign setup and media buying through DSPs, such as Google Marketing Platform’s Display & Video 360.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of programmatic media/social platforms, including Google Marketing Platform, other DSPs, and social media ad managers (e.g., Facebook Ads Manager).
  • Thorough understanding of available metrics and their interpretation within these platforms. Bonus: Google Marketing Platform/Facebook Blueprint Certification.
  • Understanding of SEM, search engine management platforms, and engine accounts. Bonus: Google Ads/Microsoft Ads Search/Google Marketing Platform Certifications.
