Engineering Technician
Engineering Technician is a technical coordination role responsible for managing software compliance, overseeing change control processes, troubleshooting system issues, and ensuring seamless workflow integration. This position serves as a bridge between operations, technology, and software development, requiring strong technical problem-solving skills, a keen understanding of system logic, and the ability to drive process improvements while developing leadership experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Omnicore Workflow Development & Troubleshooting – Diagnoses and resolves workflow-related code issues within Omnicore, ensuring smooth system operation. Requires a strong understanding of JavaScript, JSON, APIs, and logical structures to modify and optimize workflows effectively.
Software Compliance & Change Management – Maintains records for all software-related changes, ensuring adherence to compliance standards. Completes change management documentation, strategically plans releases, and ensures smooth implementation with minimal disruption.
User Acceptance Testing (UAT) & Release Planning – Leads UAT efforts, gathering and analyzing results to justify software changes before deployment. Works with stakeholders to ensure system updates align with operational needs.
Operational Technology Leadership – Acts as a lead for the Operations Technology Specialists (Opstechs), providing guidance, hosting daily huddles to enhance communication, and driving alignment on system updates and troubleshooting efforts.
Advanced Troubleshooting & IT Support – Diagnoses and resolves complex software and IT-related issues, ensuring systems remain stable and efficient for production.
Network Issue Resolution & IT Liaison – Identifies and troubleshoots networking issues, supplying key diagnostic information to corporate IT and networking teams for resolution.
Software Development Collaboration – Works closely with internal software development departments to address any Omnicore or OmniRx issues related to proprietary software. Gathers diagnostic data, provides structured reports, and facilitates communication to expedite resolution and future improvements.
Training & Onboarding – Develops and delivers training for new and existing Opstechs, ensuring they are proficient in system usage, troubleshooting methodologies, and best practices.
Project Management & Documentation – Applies basic project management principles, including writing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), conducting time studies, and driving process innovation.
Required Skills & Knowledge:
Leadership experience or the ability to step into a leadership role, guiding the Opstechs team effectively.
Strong proficiency in JavaScript, JSON, APIs, and workflow logic to troubleshoot and optimize Omnicore workflows.
Experience with HTML, CSS, and Python for automation and web-based workflow customization.
Working knowledge of SQL and Oracle databases for querying and data analysis.
Strong understanding of macOS and Windows operating systems.
Basic troubleshooting of IT-related systems, including hardware, networking, and enterprise software.
Ability to analyze and compile data for software teams, ensuring accurate issue reporting and effective resolution.
Self-driven learner with the ability to adapt quickly and implement innovative solutions on the fly.

Pay Range:
$ 20,96 - $ 34,59Any posted pay range considers a wide range of compensation factors, including candidate background, experience and work location, while also allowing for salary growth within the position.
