JOB DESCRIPTION: Position is based in Charlotte, NC, some teleworking may be permitted. Travel to Lowe’s offices may be required. 

Resolves complex problems spanning multiple applications to drive improvements across portfolios; leads projects with significant business implications, participates in planning and priority estimates, and advises Software Engineers; executes with limited guidance. Leads development of integrated business and/or enterprise application solutions to ensure specifications are flexible, scalable, and maintainable and meet architectural standards. Educates others on current architectural standards and guidelines to drive efficiency when leading the design efforts of complex business and enterprise software solutions. Supports Systems Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for large, complex, cross-functional application initiatives by providing insight to testing teams in order to ensure the appropriate depth of test coverage. Mentors and advises others in all software development lifecycle phases by applying and sharing an in-depth understanding of company and industry methodologies, policies, standards, and controls. Communicates changes in software architecture and coaches others to apply this understanding to software solutions; resolves escalated issues. Leads efforts to improve engineering, test, and operational excellence best practices. Solves complex cross-functional architecture/design and business problems; solutions are extensible; works to simplify, optimize, remove bottlenecks. Mentors and advises others, sharing an in-depth understanding of company and industry methodologies, policies, standards, and controls.

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job requires a Bachelor’s degree* in Computer Science, CIS, Engineering, or a related field and 7 years of experience in any job title/occupation involving software development. *Employer will accept single degree or combination of degrees, diplomas and/or professional experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree.

Must have prior experience in: 

•    7 years of experience in:
    Apache Solr and Zookeeper - Auto correct, Facet search, Boosting Result, Highlighting search keyword, Query Parser, Request Handlers, Schema Design, Data handlers, Solr Configurations, Replication to other Solr servers, Solr Cloud
    Relational and non-relational databases Oracle, Cassandra, Couchbase, and Mongo.
•    6 years of experience in:
    Google Cloud Platform - Pubsub Architecture, Datastore, Cloud Cost, Cloud Deployment, Big Query, Cloud function.
    Apache Beam – For creating data pipeline to index data
    Microservices architecture
•    4 years of experience using Dojo and JQuery for validating and sending user request to server and handling the response
•    3 years of experience in:
    Lucidworks Fusion – For ranking and bringing more relevant products for user
    Golang – For building and maintaining services
    Oracle Web Sphere Commerce Server and Web Sphere Portal Server
    Adobe SiteCatalyst and Omniture - for digital analytics.
•    2 years of experience in:
    Elastic Search– Elastic cluster, Data indexing in elastic, Elastic Query Optimization
    Google Retail Search – Data indexing, GRS query API’s, GRS mappings.
