Job Description – Mobile Architect (Android)

Location: Pune
Experience: 10+ Years
Role: Mobile Architect (Android)
Work Mode: 5 Days work from Office

About the Role

We are looking for a highly experienced Mobile Architect with deep expertise in Android technologies. The ideal candidate should have strong architectural skills, hands‑on Android development experience, and the ability to lead end‑to‑end mobile solution design for complex, scalable applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Architect and design Android mobile applications with high scalability, performance, and security.
  • Define mobile architecture standards, coding best practices, reusable components, and frameworks.
  • Work closely with product, UX, and backend teams to design APIs, workflows, and system integrations.
  • Provide technical leadership, guide development teams, conduct code reviews, and ensure adherence to architecture guidelines.
  • Drive solutioning, feasibility analysis, PoCs, and effort estimations.
  • Own mobile lifecycle—including design, development, CI/CD, deployment, and performance optimization.
  • Evaluate and adopt modern Android technologies, libraries, and tools.
  • Ensure mobile applications follow clean architecture, MVVM, modularization, and other modern patterns.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 10+ years of overall experience in mobile development with strong focus on Android.
  • Expertise in Kotlin, Java, Android SDK, Jetpack components, MVVM/MVI, Coroutines, and dependency injection (Hilt/Dagger).
  • Experience designing scalable mobile app architecture and leading complex Android projects.
  • Strong understanding of REST APIs, JSON, WebSockets, and mobile‑backend integration.
  • Hands-on experience with Android UI/UX standards, Material Design, and custom components.
  • Experience with mobile security, encryption, authentication flows, and secure coding practices.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Bitrise, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of performance optimization, memory management, and debugging tools.
  • Experience in cloud integration (Firebase, AWS, Azure) is a plus.
  • Strong communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environment.
  • Exposure to cross‑platform frameworks (Flutter/React Native) is an advantage, not mandatory.
  • Experience in designing multi‑module, enterprise-grade apps.

Education

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
