Position Overview
The Medical Sales Specialist achieves sales targets and drives continuous growth by establishing and maintaining strong customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities with existing customers and identifying and securing new customers.
This role manages the Advanced Wound Care Portfolio for Western Australia Hospitals covering a designated territory.
Key Responsibilities
Achieving business results (Sales, Market Share)
Develop, implement, and maintain account management plans/business opportunties to drive growth strategies for key accounts as directed
Create customer awareness, recommending product types and arranging and participating with product demonstrations
Ability to articulate complex product and technical knowledge / product education to both customers and fellow colleagues for the advanced wound care portfolio.
Business to business representation at key local events
Ability to review and analyze sales reports, results, monitor sales achievements and identify opportunities and risks to the business
Complete and submit all reports (sales, CRM, and expenses etc) within the time requested by manager
Model accountability and commitment to our customers and our colleagues through teamwork
Desire for continual learning in our product range, our competitors’ products and keeping abreast of current standards of care in the marketplace
Stay informed and keep the company informed of Convatec’s market position and other business Unit opportunities as they arise
Aligns and actively contributes to the Convatec culture by fostering and demonstrating Values and Behaviours in all areas of work
Execute sales and marketing strategies to achieve business results
Takes the broader state and national business perspective into account when making decisions
Cultivates Strong Business Relationships
Establishes close relationships with external customers and utilises those relationships to strengthen a competitive position and performance including Key Opinion leaders (KOLs)
Key Requirements
At least 3 years of experience in Sales,
Knowledge in Wound Care preferred
Contract, pricing and tender level negotiation
Excellent organizational and planning abilities
Strong Communication skills – oral, written and presentation
Ability to identify and articulate sales opportunities and risks
Ability to develop and implement Key Account plans and strategies to achieve sales objectives
Comprehensive business knowledge inc Key Account management
Strong Team player / motivator
Proficient (Intermediate) in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
