We are looking for a Project Officer (PO) to develop SERS platforms for molecular gas detection. The project involves the development of novel plasmonic materials and SERS platform of high enhancement factor to achieve strong signal and enhance analytical performance.
The PO should have a strong background in nanochemistry, especially plasmonic nanoparticle synthesis and assembly. The PO should also have competency in data analysis. Having knowledge in coding and computational chemistry, such as simulation, is favored.
Key Responsibilities:
Nanoparticle Synthesis System Development:
The candidate will work on developing a system for synthesizing nanoparticles. This involves designing and implementing processes to create nanoparticles with specific properties.
Fabrication and Testing of SERS Chips:
The candidate will fabricate these SERS chips, which may involve techniques like deposition, or self-assembly.
Testing SERS chips involves evaluating their performance in enhancing Raman signals for molecular identification.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor degree in Chemistry
Strong background in nanochemistry, computational chemistry and machine learning.
Strong lab skills
Competent in data analysis
Experience in a plasmonics lab with strong background in SERS platform development
Have knowledge on synthesis of nanoparticles, fabrication to produce SERS platform and the functionalization
