You will enjoy having this responsibility:

As an FFT you are responsible for the management of Final Functional Test and Commissioning activities as a company internal inspection of electronic interlocking constructions (ESTW L90 and ESTW L90 5) and of ETCS L2.

It also involves the following tasks:

  • Preparation of fundamental and project-specific test documents

  • Participation by tender preparation   

  • Creation of inspection documentation

  • Set-up of laboratory configurations / Creation of test and migration concepts

  • Interface to other departments

  • Inspection of the functionality on the basis of customer specifications relating to conformity of planning and implementation 

  • Creation and summarisation of test documents according to the customer requirements

  • Instigation of any subsequent improvements

  • Development of new test guidelines

  • Handover of the inspected system to the project management

  • Contact person for the customer during the inspection phase

  • Participation by customer inspections on-site

  • Technical and safety related customer consulting

  • Clarification of detail questions between customer/sales, development and configuration engineering

You have:

  • MSc (Dipl.-Ing.) in Communications Engineering / Electro- and Information Engineering, ideally with specialisation in control, communication and safety systems, or an equivalent education

  • Relevant knowledge of regulations relating to rail-, operation-, signal and ERTMS services

  • Knowledge and experience in railway operation and related safety regulations is desirable

  • English proficiency

  • Good communication skills and ability to take decisions

  • Flexibility and willingness to travel
