The Hilb Group is currently seeking a motivated and ambitious Senior Direct Bill Associate to join our team. This position will report to our agency located in Richmond, VA. The ideal candidate will be motivated to succeed, is well organized, able to prioritize, and able to work well with a team. This is a remote position.
Responsibilities:
Support and guide offshore partners with clear communication and advanced troubleshooting techniques, promoting consistency and high performance across global teams.
Deliver best in class customer service that is responsive, professional, and empathetic to internal teams, carriers, and other clients. Investigate and resolve issues with a focus on customer satisfaction.
Perform accurate audits and reconciliations of direct bill activity, identifying discrepancies through analytical thinking and ensuring high-quality output. Action on results.
Manage high-priority and complex accounts and transactions that require thorough analysis, strategic problem-solving, and effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
Create and maintain standard operating procedures related to all Direct Bill functions to ensure clarity, transparency, and operational consistency, supporting both new and existing team members.
Monitor and report on key metrics, using data to inform decisions, improve processes, and identify trends — all through a lens of analytical precision. Ensure targets are met on a proactive approach rather than reactive.
Work closely with Hilb’s Integration Team to migrate newly acquired entities onto Hilb’s AMS360 platform, addressing data qualities & inconsistencies, reduce transition time required and support transition to offshore team for core processing.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
3+ years of insurance accounting or General Accounting and billing experience
Strong Excel and reporting skills
Prior experience with systems like Epic, AMS360, TAM or Sagitta preferred
Experience working with offshore or remote teams preferred
Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
Ability to proceed with confidence and to remain calm under pressure
Ability to travel to Offshore partners for training as needed preferred
Able to convey complex information clearly and collaborate across departments and time zones.
